We shouldn’t want Camping World for a bowl game.

I don't wanna play either one of those teams, Brock Purdy is an NFL QB, and Chuba Hubbard is one of the best young RBs in the country, even with Tylan Wallace down for the year they'd be a tough matchup. Don't get me wrong, I think we win both matchups, but they aren't pushovers.

Outside of Chase Young, I just am not that impressed with OSU's front 7. Their DBs are elite and so is Young so obviously that's enough talent, but no one else stands out to me and Michigan will bring their everything ans they're capable of playing exceptional (don't we know).
I can see them frustrating Fields too. His two turnovers Saturday doesn't give me confidence in him on the road against a great defense.

Agree completely. How can you wet your pants thinking about playing Okie State but also want to play a NY6 bowl?I will take the Camping World Bowl over many of the other options. The point is, you are worrying about playing 8-4 teams yet you want to be in the Orange or Cotton...doesn't make sense. There should be no concerns with Iowa State or Oklahoma State (the two teams I have seen mentioned the most for Camping World Bowl).
So is Dillon.
Except Hubbard is a Day 1/2 guy that is multifaceted and Dillon is a one-trick pony that will be lucky to get drafted. Skill levels are much different.
I disagree here. Dillion will be drafted. Most likely in the mid rounds, but if he runs well at the combine he will go day 2. We know Dillion can run and he can block, we don't know if he can catch because he has not been asked to do so.
II and Sampson are pretty adamant that we are a stone cold lock to the Camping World Bowl against Iowa St or Ok St.

All I'm saying is that Chuba and Dillon are on different levels. I'd be willing to bet that Hubbard goes 3 rounds earlier than Dillon based on this. Hubbard is insanely fast for that size and he catches the ball really well. There's a difference between guys like Zeke that CAN catch the ball and guys like Swift/McCaffrey that are legitimate weapons catching the ball. Chuba is much closer to Swift/CMC than Zeke, and Dillon is below Zeke level, it's not his strength, and he has no wiggle in the open field, his agility drills at the combine will be god awful. He has a place in the NFL, so he will probably get drafted, but he will never be featured, like I think Chuba will.
SI thinks we could go to the Gator bowl against Texas AM? Could this happen?
CWB sucks! Especially for a 10-2 season. I hope Swarbrick does something about this if possible for the future. All of these rigid bowl tie ins and contracts just tie things up.
Almost like we should just join a conference already,.....

I love that, ‘accept you’re not big time anymore irish fans’ sermon at the end there. Sour note of an otherwise fun half of football,... though I’m sure whiskey loved it
I thought you weren't ready to accept we're not special anymore:
Our independence will return to being a big advantage for us again once the playoff expands to 8 teams. 1 guaranteed spot for each P5 champ and 3 at-large spots. A 10-2 ND is virtually guaranteed an invite then, and we'll have a lot more freedom to schedule our way to that regularly than teams that have to run a conference gauntlet every season.

I generally agree but do you think we’d make it this year?
It’d be:
ACC: Clemson
Big 12: Oklahoma
SEC: LSU/Georgia winner
PAC 12: Utah/Oregon winner
Big 10: Ohio State
At-large: Bama
At-large: Georgia/LSU loser
We’d be in the mix for the last spot but so would:
Florida
Penn State
Utah if they lose to Oregon
Michigan if they beat OSU
Maybe Wisconsin or Minnesota, depending
That’s a lot of traffic for one spot.
My bet would be Florida or Penn State, hinging on whether the rest of college football could stomach giving four playoff spots to the SEC.

Pass that over to me. I want a hit.
to be honest, looking at the leading rushers at this point in the nfl, it would be guys more like dillion than hubbard....chubb, fournette, hyde, henry, jacobs, carson etc
