Good Luck AD. Quickest 4 minutes I've ever watched on youtube, you had me at...<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0IPkHcDLBJA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
After watching that video, I suspect that this move by Autry has less to do with being a strategic career move, and more about his calling to impact as many lives as he possibly can. As a head coach, his impact will simply be greater.
Good Luck Autry and keep fighting the good fight.

Whack...If you were my age and watched Denson at ND as a child and early teen years you would have respect for him. I mean he is only the leading rushing in Notre Dame Football history.
Last two RB coaches -- one could recruit, the other could develop. Is it asking too much for one who can do both?!Just get someone that can recruit Rbs.

The only name on that list who makes no sense is Alford. Recruiting RBs at OSU is a helluva lot easier than it is at ND.
Congrats AD. The Dome called and you came home. What you did with those who took the challenge... excellent...the fundamentals were near perfect.
Thank you.
Enjoy your time growing young men at the next stop...I hope we'll be seeing you again.

Seriously, I get ppl are frustrated with his recruiting, but the production out of our RBs in 15, 17, and 18 were top notch stuff. Can anyone name the last time one of our RBs fumbled without looking it up? Nope because it’s been years. He’s a Notre Dame man. Good Luck Cocach Denson, you will be missed
My initial post is about him as a coach/recruiter. As many of of you have said, he seems like a great man and I'm sure he's a great father too.
But I don't like the direction of the position was headed and the lack of recruiting wasn't helping either. Denson had failed to build up the depth chart with quality backs that could be called upon. We had Dex, Jafar, and Tony Jones in 2018. Dex and Jafar are quality backs, but I wouldn't put Jones in that category. Looking at teams like Clemson and Bama (we should do this now because they are the standard and we have shown that we can at least make the playoff), their running back depth charts were far better than ours.
Our running backs haven't fumbled? Thats nice and all, but I wouldn't say running back success hinders on that. BC 2015 is the last time we lost a fumble from a running back, I think.
So, no, production from our #1 running back isn't the reason why I would like change. The fact that running back recruiting straight up sucks and we have no depth at the position is a big reason why I would like to see change.
