CBS's "Tomorrow's Top 25 Today" had ND moving up ONE spot to 15.

Washington dropped to 11, and Wazzu 12th. Both were sandblasted by shit teams.

That is crazy how you could possibly have either Washington team above ND at this point based on what they have done. I could kind of see WSU, as they have a good win over USC, but they did lose by 34 to Cal...so....

ND’s ranking on October 15th doesn’t matter, check back with me in two weeks.

Yucky question... do we root for Michigan @ Penn State next week?

Yes. We do. Take a shower before and after, you'll get over it if MSU plays for a Big Ten Championship and PSU already has a loss. Wisconsin needs to trip and fall somewhere too.

Beating Miami and USC should get us the respect needed to advance to the credible top ten spot.

Not losing to Navy would be nice too. This is the kind of season where you need a conference championship.

Speaking of Big Ten.

Wisconsin’s schedule is a cakewalk. They will make it to week ten having played sub par competition.

They should walk into the big 10 championship no problem. If they win it?

Hoping for #13 in AP. USC should be #10. Miami up to #8 I'd assume.

Besides Navy losing, this was a pretty perfect weekend for our playoff chances.
USC ahead of us is a joke. We have much better wins than they do and a much better loss as well.

Zero chance. Wisconsin will lose the Big 10 championship by 20 no matter if it's Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, or Michigan State.

Biggest thing we could hope for is nc state making it to the acc championship over Clemson they are in first now still play Clemson head to head, Clemson still has NC state Florida state and Georgia tech left which are all gonna be tough games

Nope. NC State winning the ACC could get them in ahead of us. We want them to lose two. Our SOS is good enough where we don't have to worry about it. It's much more important that teams winning conferences have two losses, even if those are teams on our schedule.

They already have one loss and we would be their number 2 loss.

the simple answer is to take one game at a time and win it.

Of course. But what would we talk about then?

If - big if - we go 11-1 we're probably in the playoffs, given how Georgia is playing and the rest of our SOS is shaping up. But if someone we beat - USC, NC State, Miami? - winds up a conference champion, it would be really really hard to keep us out.

If Penn State and Georgia went head to head, I think Georgia wins by at least two TD's. Still not sure why everyone loves PSU so much.

Agreed. Their ranking is more about 2016 than 2017 right now. Suspect O line even against weak opposition and their defense hasn’t been challenged yet. However they will have their chances to prove themselves. Michigan has a terrible offense but a legit top 5 defense and OSU has turned it around.

All the undefeateds and 1 lossers are in the same boat. Need to prove yourself worthy in the second half.

WTH?
What is the argument for putting Va Tech ahead of Notre Dame?
What has Oklahoma State done to be ranked 11th?
Michigan?
Why does the coaches poll even exist anymore?
