Well I personally have never found anything on the Prime Day sales worth buying, but I'm a poor

I'm with you. Never found anything that great.

Feel good that you didn't succumb to the over inflated marketing hype.

Arguably the best story focused game I've ever played.

Ended up grabbing it. Between the sale and my Amazon Dollars, it ended up only costing $70.

Signed up for Prime trial last week, now getting $10 prime dollar offers to take slower shipping? Is it me or is this an easy way to get a big discount on purchases that 95% of the time I can wait a couple extra days on? Are there some restrictions on those $$s or are they just like a gift card/account credits?

In this case - they offered it separately on three different items in my purchase. Fine print says one $10 credit per order so I picked the one I could most easily live without for three extra days. In the future - I will submit separate orders and look for that credit to take on all.

I've seen a couple leak, but not that many. Prime Day officially begins at 2 PM Central. The only deal I've seen so far that I care about is spend $10 at Whole Foods and get $10 to spend on Amazon Prime. The only reason that's any good for me is that there's a Whole Foods immediately behind my office

Their sneak peek page has decent deals on a lot of smart-home related stuff. Google Wifi, smart outlets, Alexa packages, etc.

We got the Google WiFi system about 6 months ago after we moved into our new place. We were getting horrible WiFi coverage throughout the new place we bought despite the hard lined connection being lightning fast. I tried some cheap repeaters and things like that with minimal success. We talked to some people and decided that the Google Home WiFi system with its mesh network and diagnostics was probably the best thing for us (we also considered the Orbi), and it was ultimately one of the best technological purchase we've ever made. Fast internet, everywhere, even up on our roof deck.

The Alexa was a gift. I thought it was dumb at first... and I still don't like that it is always listening... but ever since we integrated it with our Spotify and surround sound I think it's been pretty great. We basically use it for playing music and setting timers, and rarely for anything else.

And then we've been slowly moving everything to a "smart" house because we already have the backbone for it.

So yeah... I'm pretty dependent on that crap lol...
