Wow! I am not seeing this movie until Saturday, but based on the reviews it looks extremely promising.

The critics are out in droves praising the nonsensical mess that RJ spewed on SW fans, and seem to see this movie as a rebuke of TLJ.

If that is the case, I'm going to love it. Here's hoping.

I enjoyed Episode 2 and loved 3. 4, 5, and 6 slowed down but they were still watchable. Glad to see 7 ramp it back up.

This is why I rarely look at reviews before blockbusters like Star Wars. I want to form my own opinion, not one influenced by nitpicky blowhard critics. I go for the entertainment and I suspect this film will be thoroughly entertaining.

My buddy found a pirated stream already, I've got a burned DVD I'm currently watching. I'm a little over halfway through. It's definitely more like TFA and not TLJ and for that I approve. Not quite sure how I feel about it so far. It's definitely dense though and I may need to watch it again once I'm done. Resuming.

The one I'm watching was filmed with a camera in a Mexican speaking country's theater. The opening crawl was in Mexican with subtitles, but otherwise the actors all speak English. Quality is fine, although there's a few ads in the middle of the film. Don't really care about those tbh.

A week or so after the release, they'll likely have a high quality copy from Asia. The only thing about those are the Asian subs, but the quality is HD.

Sorry, would you prefer someplace in "Latin America" and "Spanish?" We were having new carpets put in today, I was up late cleaning and I'm running on fumes. Yeah, I'm not sure what I was doing earlier.

Just finished the movie. Definitely a ton of fan service, most of it I was okay with. I liked it way more than Last Jedi, not sure how I would rank it against Force Awakens. To be honest I thought Force Awakens was okay for what it was, even if some people didn't like it.

I didn't really feel blown away or anything. I did shed a few tears at the end, but not so much due to story. It was more like "This is the end of the saga, man, even if it shouldn't have been." There's some things I liked, some things I didn't like, and some things that made me go "meh." I'll say that JJ Abrams does a great job of rehashing old stories, but original material leaves you wanting more. He hits on a lot of familiar story lines and material. I think he definitely trashed a lot of stuff Rian Johnson did with Last Jedi, and I appreciated that. There were no more stupid bombers dropping bombs in space (How does gravity work outside of an atmosphere?), there were old school B-Wings and Y-Wings like there should be. There were no ridiculously long drawn out space chases. They poked a little fun at the "Holdo Maneuver," which was brilliant.

I'll watch it again and reassess where I put this one in the grand scheme of things. I had to watch Last Jedi twice to really solidify my feelings on that one. All in all, it definitely felt like an improvement over the last movie, but I think it could have been better and I do have a few nagging issues.
