WAIT.

It just hit me when pondering the new title. Is "Return of the Jedi" plural!? I always read it as Luke returning to wreck Palps. Now that I'm Googling it, it seems that most people think it means the return of the (singular) Jedi, Anakin. Then a third interpretation takes it to mean the return of the Jedi (plural) in general, like the return of the Jedi order.

My mind is blown.

I never considered Anakin as the pivot for that title. I always considered it to be singularly Luke as he was the subject of the prophecy. I say this as Vader told Luke the Emperor forsaw Luke defeating him. But it wasnt in battle it was through redemption of Anakin.

I guess i should add that there were not other Jedi (that we are aware of) in the moves at the end of ROTJ. So i dont know how it could be plural in the absebncenof the Order.

I always took it as plural, meaning that Luke's ascendance would mean an eventual return of a Jedi order

To be more clear, I always took it plural as in the training of Luke, and his own return, would open up a return for Jedi in general, as in a collective of some sort.

I have had to re-evaluate it recently with the new movies as well as retracting all of my knowledge of the EU. I am not arguing with anyone just trying to compartamentalize it with what is now canon which is basically its not canon until it is.

I have all the comics and all the novels if you want to catch up on canon. You pay shipping and processing.

Wiz, any clues from any of the new canon materials about Snoke yet?

There's a guy called Yupe Tashu who served Palpatine and is described as a dark side fanatic. Lots of interesting dialogue from him. He doesn't play a major role in the plot but he's present at a big summit of Imperial leaders as they decide what to do after the Battle of Endor and his angle is that the Empire should embrace the dark side and go full Sith.

If you're looking for a jumping-on point, the novel Aftermath is where I'd kick it off. (I have two copies if anyone wants one.)

Full disclosure, I own all the new canon stuff but I'm pretty far behind. Catching up at a rate of about two comics and three novel chapters a night.

My mind is blown but the other way. I always took it as plural (the Jedi order comes back), and never considered the Anakin angle.

Do you think that Snoke is a Sith or can use the force? If I remember correctly Yupe Tashu while a Sith fanatic/historian had no ability for using the force.

We don't know, right? It's very possible that Snoke can't use the force and is using Kylo for all the heavy lifting.

I had my library purchase Aftermath, but I never got around to reading it. I guess I'll move it up on my list.

That post is mischaracterizing what Abrams said, or at least taking liberties with the implications. He said Kylo Ren isn't a Sith... but that's all he said. That could mean he isn't fully trained yet, or it could mean that he's just a dude who can use the Force and has a red lightsaber, but isn't a practitioner of actual Sith arts.

He also said Snoke is a big character on the dark side of the force. That doesn't necessarily mean he's a sith, but it doesn't rule it out either.

Interesting tweet from Pablo Hidalgo. For the uninitiated, Pablo is the face of the LucasFilm Story Group, i.e. he's the keeper of the canon.

This was in reference to HK-47 appearing in EA's "Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes" mobile game. It would seem to imply that our heroes from KOTOR are in some kind of quasi-canon limbo and weren't destroyed in the purge when Disney issued Order 66 on the EU after the acquisition.

ACamp and Koon, you're always looking for engaging single-player video games, download the original KOTOR port that's available on iOS and Android. The best RPG I've ever played and my favorite Star Wars game of all time.

Which one are you referring to? The last one that I saw or heard about was that Vanee/or a secret apprentice of Vader's that trained in the cave below his castle is Snoke. But I know that there are thousands of theories out there. so could you elaborate here, or just PM me if that would be too much of a spoiler. I'm always game to discuss theories.

I have recently heard about Vader may have had a secret Apprentice based on a character shown in RO but that character was only briefly shown and not elaborated on in the Movie.

Woody Harrelson, Emelia Clark and Donald Glover?

I'm in love with the Han Solo movie already.

Star Wars Legos are so damn expensive.

I'd have every set if it didn't cost $70+ for the good ones.
My LEGO game is skrong.

Plus the Disney Castle and various non-licensed sets. You need to know how to get them on clearance. I think the only set I paid full price for is the Slave I. And NEVER shop at Toys'r'us. Even on sale, they're more expensive than Target or the LEGO store.

I still have my woodsmen (Robin Hood) pirates and castle sets... my girls still p-lay with them... Love the Woodsmen ones.
I'm pretty disappointed they discontinued the generic pirates line, but they have some cool stuff coming out with the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I'll be picking up the Silent Mary if they release it in Disney Stores (and thus subject to my employee discount).
