Winning doesn't necessarily equate to recruiting success.

During Kelly's 5 year from from 2017-2021, where he went 54-9. His recruiting success didn't really go up.

You have to combine success with legitimate grind on the trail and quality logistics. Kelly has shown a lack for any of that, and Harbaugh appears more of the same. I think Harbaugh has a bit more grind on the trail than Kelly, but by all accounts...he's a really weird guy. Sometimes, kids can overlook or even embrace the weird, but that can oftentimes be off-putting for some.
I agree with everything you said, they should have both taken their success and parlayed better classes.

This might be the last straw that really does send him back to the NFL… can’t get an NCAA penalty if you skip town.

(That is, if any owners will have him after he basically hired himself for the Colts job or whichever one it was before being told he didn’t actually get it lol)

had a good laugh this morning as a poster on the mgo blog message board was telling people that he heard on a podcast that scUM never really pursued CJ Carr and most of the posters believed it.

Well, Hairball followed up his McCarthy "once in a generation" comment. Now he made this comment about reserve QB Alex Orji “Got a chance to be maybe one of the greatest kick returners of all time. Big 230-235 pound guy, so he just started doing it, we’ll see how it goes."

Can't make this stuff up. LMAO

Harbaugh also said they have a chance to get over 20 players drafted after this year

Michigan don’t seem to be very good at recruiting. Harbaugh is a bit like BK maybe.
Then was it coaching that led them to embarrass their rival 2 straight seasons after being owned by them previously? I hate scUM worse that OSU but I have to credit them for finally beating their nemesis (handily). I don’t follow the recruiting of the two teams but assumed OSU had more talent than scUM? Is it the physicality at the LOS that got scUM over the top vs OSU? Whatever it is I hope Freeman can instill that into his squad. Irish have only played five times in my lifetime but I’m tired of losing to them…especially considering none of those contests post-Holtz went down to the final play.

I really don’t think OSU has been that good either. If NDs offense had a pulse last season ND wins handily.

The cupcake schedules has set nicely. They ah e the worst out of conference games two years straight

scUM pretty much owned both sides of the LOS in both of those games. Even though the game has evolved into a passing game, it still boils down to owning the line.

Weirdness aside, Harbaugh is good at developing teams that play hard nosed, physical football. Seems like he’s done that everywhere he’s coached.

so EJ will once against post to his subscribers that these twins weren't fits for the staff anymore or that they found bigger targets to go after just like he does so often when scUM loses recruits.

I can see losing a kid to quite a few schools, but losing two to a basketball school? Since the inception of their FB program in 1915, UK has only had four double digit win seasons, 2021-10, 2018-10, 1977-10, 1950-11.

It feels like the pendulum in recruiting is starting to swing back towards Home State U.
Several major recruits have spurned bigger offers to play for middling home-state schools lately - and I suspect NIL is a factor at least some of the time. (Not sure about here, but that big DL from Kansas City who just committed to Mizzou, for instance)

Apparently Missouri just passed some law that will allow high school seniors to make money off their likeness as long as they are committed to play for an in state college.

It won't be long before HS kids can make money off their likeness without any strings attached. I don't see much of a market for HS NIL's, but you never know.

Their 2007 team was only 8-5, but it might have been the most fun 8-5 team of all time.

Andrew Woodson, Rafael Little, Jacob Tamme, Stevie Johnson, Keenan Burton was quite the collection of offensive talent for a Kentucky team. They had a couple studs on defense, too (Wesley Woodyard needed more help around him, though).

The upset over LSU was a fun day in the Bluegrass state.
