How did Harbaugh get Meatchicken in a better place than ND so fast? Seems like a few years ago, Harbaugh couldn’t beat OSU, couldn’t win the big game, wasn’t bringing in top classes (albeit not bad classes) and talk was he was headed back to the NFL.

Now, he owns OSU despite them having better talent on paper. What happened? How does their roster compare vs ND right now?

Because they play one meaningful game a year and they’ve happened to win it twice in a row.

Easy schedule and a competent QB. In a better place… they beat their rival 2 years in a row and beat everyone they should. With better teams entering the BiG they’ll fall

I thought they had the last two years. We are talking about Harbaugh getting michigan to a better place.

Sconny hasn’t been good since 2019, kinda hard to count that as a good win since the Badgers have won 4, 9, and 7 games in 2020 on (the 4 games was the COVID season). Also Michigan didn’t even play them last year. PSU would be the far better barometer.

Penn State was with them until Clifford went into the tank. He had far and away his worst game of his career. And given it's Sean Clifford, that's saying A LOT.

Let's take a moment out of your regularly scheduled programing surrounding the cheaters to take note of the fact that in the 2023, 2024, and 2025 QB classes, they have had 3 top 50 nationally quarterbacks in their backyard, including one that is a member of a legendary UM family, and they will have all gone elsewhere. Bryce Underwood is trending to LSU and Carter Smith is getting crystal ball'd to UM for the 2025 class.

For comparison sake of how crazy that stretch of talent is in their actual backyard, the entire state of Michigan hasn't had a top 200 ranked QB prospect since the 2013 class with Shane Morris.

They trusted JJ McCarthy so much that he didn't even throw a pass in the second half? And it's not like they were running the ball terribly effectively either, something like only 3 total first downs in the second half.

Don't you dare defame their "once in a generation" quarterback.

I think it was more the neutralization of PSU's DL more than anything else. They were able to run the ball and control the game. Not that Allar was going to be much of a threat if they decided to try speeding up the tempo.

They probably saw Allar in the Ohio State film and knew they would not have to do a great deal other than manage the game and make it a boring Big Ten November pillow fight.

They technically did throw 1 pass but there was PI on the play so it doesn't count in the stats, but for the most part very true.

Michigan ran it very well in the first half, but Penn State adjusted and they struggled to run.

However, Penn State's offense consistently put them in terrible position. Michigan scored 10 in the 2nd half, both effectively came off turnovers. Field goal off a fumble and a TD off an idiotic decision to go for it at their own 30 yard line on 4th and 6.

I think Ohio State is going to beat them. Ohio State's offense isn't anything special, but Michigan hasn't faced an offense that is even remotely competent. McCord isn't an elite QB, but he's better than Allar, and he's throwing to MHJr and Egbuka, and Ohio State's run game is dangerous.
