Lol I was at the game. (Wifes a skunkbear fan long story). When doesn't Michigan fan complaing about the refs? WE CAN'T POSSIBLE HAVE A CLOSE GAME WE ARE BETTER THAN EVERYONE, BLAME THE REFS.
To me the play that KO'd #32 didn't look like targetting, but who can really know what is these days.
Buttholes were puckered most of the game, and the collective OH NOs that followed Winovich being hurt were audible.

Michigan fans complaining about Indiana finishing a block.

Unreal. The Indiana offensive line takes the same cheap shot at Rashan Gary that they took at Chase Winovich. Also, Winovich -- probably the biggest douchebag in college football this year, guilty of multiple cheap shots himself -- stomped on an Indiana player after a play.

The "targeting" on Indiana was the Indiana player squaring up against a block from the Michigan player. The Michigan player is going to block him face-to-face... and basically knocked himself out because the Indiana player lowered his head. The lowering of his head so the "crown" of his helmet hit the guy in the chin is what probably makes it targeting, but realistically the only reason it was called was because he got hurt. That kind of block happens basically every game when people lean forward to brace themselves for impact.

Just watched both the one above and found the Winovich injury play. I am not sure either one was a penalty. The targeting possibly by a strict interpretation of thhe rule but agree wouldn't have been called without the guy staying down. Winovich play was ruled a late hit? The video showed the QB still with the ball and the play developing. SMH

This may not be a popular opinion but what Chase Winovich gets done unto him is just football karma.

The actual targeting call is just unfortunate. IU player was in no way being malicious.

Fvck Michigan. Indiana didn't get the memo that they were suppose to lay down and curl up in the fetal position because they were facing the mighty Skunks. Instead, the skunks find themselves in a street fight and complained (whined like bitches) every time Indiana landed a punch. Winovich stepping on that dudes ankle tells you every thing you need to know about him. He's a tough player (though he talks like his balls haven't dropped yet), but when he's in an alley-fight you can count on him being a punk. These guys are mentally weak and I hope OSU pushes their stool in (just like the third best team in Indiana almost did to them). I hope Winovich is ok to play in the fecal impact that is heading their way. BTW...I don't care much for the skunk team.

Yeah, both the hit on Winovich and Gary looked like pancakes during live play to me, I don't get the outrage. Maybe I'm wrong... or maybe football is too violent for the Maize-bellied Washtenaw-dwellers.

Skunkbear lurkers, the following is NSFL:

Is there anything lamer than the media making a big deal out of a guarantee? What is the guy supposed to say to the media asking him if he would guarantee it? What does it guarantee? Is the guy going to be murdered at the 50 if he's wrong? Is he paying back tickets if he's wrong? Will it even be brought up if he's wrong? It's such a nothing and it happens every year and the media acts like someone just broke new ground in confidence levels. "Woah guys he guaranteed it. He must really think he's going to win the game."

A coach doing it is far more balsy. I remember Jimmy Johnson calling in to a radio station the night before the NFC championship game, against the 49ers mind you, and saying 'Put it in 3 inch headlines. We are going to win the game.'

The media was shocked and kind of smirking about it the next morning. The Cowboys won like 45-20 or something.

Yeah. That's basically what happened. This wasn't even a guy coming out and saying "I declare that we will win!" Someone asked if he would guarantee a victory. He said "Why not?"
Would've been more notable if he'd said "I dunno. We've shat the bed against them for years. Probably will on Saturday, too!"

These clowns still can't goad me into rooting for Ohio State.

Hopefully, karma will do it for me.

Michigan’s defense is so good with the best DC in college football. Basic crossing routes are obviously cheating.

Revenge tour cancelled.

On a serious note: The broadcast team jsut recounted the fact that Coach Fry of Michigan complained that the fans were too loud for their QB to give his signals and a penalty should be assessed because of that. I know ND was penalized for that rule and I thought it was so dumb. The fact a Michigan coach was he one that instated that doesn't surprise me.

When I think my disdain for Michigan can't grow anymore, they tell someone to hold their beer while they go and prove me wrong.

Fry was head coach at Iowa.

Good call. 1985 was when Fry complained while coaching Iowa... but then Harbaugh spent the entire game in '86 complaining about the noise as well so I'll keep my hatred for now.
