I was amazed they couldn't stop Iowa's run game. Especially given Iowa's QB is terrible and that's putting it mildly. These next few weeks will reveal who scUM really is. IU doesn't play defense but they can put up the points. OSU is well, OSU.

So I just made a trip to Costco and while I'm in the checkout I get a few pats on the shoulder. So I turn around hoping it's someone I know because I get like Francis on Stripes when people touch me, let alone people I don't know and I realize... we got a problem.

There in his hipsteresque blue & yellow M truckers cap, his 2015 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl Champions t-shirt, his huuuge blue & yellow Casio diving watch, finished off with skinny boi band jeans and those slip on Chucks that have no laces... is a smirking, 50 something, douche bag of a Michigan fan who says the following, "Woooooah, tough year to be a Catholic huh big guy?" (I had on a white ND hat with a clover)

In what may have been an eternity cuz it felt like it, I gathered myself looked at his family and back at him and said, "You know guys, like everything else, sports are cyclical. In the end all you can ask for is that you live long enough to see your team win 4 championships. I'm grateful I'm already there as opposed to others who'll neeeeeeh-vuuuur know the feeling."

Grabbed my cart, gave him a smile and said, Go Cubs Go.

Some pretty sobering stats if you're michigan:

-Zero ranked wins on the road since 2006

-Harbaugh 0-2 vs. OSU.

-Zero wins in the Horseshoe since 2000

-2-13 in the last 15 games vs OSU

-Zero big 10 championships since 2004

Woof

CFP committee makes no sense ranking Penn State ahead of Michigan and Florida State ahead of Louisville.

I'll discount head to head if it was a close game. See: OSU v. PSU.

But Louisville beat FSU by 43 and Michigan beat Penn State by 39. That's hard for me to ignore. If they were TD or less games- sure ignore it. But 43 and 39 points? Yeah, not buying it.

So what you're saying is conference championships mean nothing? Then why have them?

I also believe is the roles were reversed you would be arguing why Michigan deserves to be ranked higher since they won the conference.

Exactly it doesn't matter if Michigan is 5 or 6. Michigan still going to NY6 bowl.

Did I mention I hate pedophile U!

As ND fans, I find it HILARIOUS that '"we" would even poke fun at Michigan going to the Orange Bowl. The nerve man. They would beat ND 45-7 right now.

I don't think anybody is poking fun at Michigan. We all know that they would destroy us right now. But nobody here wants to see Michigan win, either.

You think Alabama fans weren't happy when Auburn lost to FSU? (And of course I know that the situations aren't analogous in all respects.)

Too bad meatchicken couldn't beat a little better than average young Buckeye team. That Bama as* whooping was awaiting for your overrated winey coach, soft interior lines, and grandma slow LBs.

I agree that Mich would be the vegas favorite over PSU on a neutral fan, and should be ranked ahead of them. Doesn't really matter though as neither is going to the playoffs. I wish Mich would get to play Florida in a bowl. That would allow them to "make a statement" kinda. Hairball just needs to go beat the hell out of FSU, who just beat the hell out of UF...

PSU will likely fall by 2 or 3 TDs against USC...

Regarding FSU... the loss to Louisville was early, and the two teams have gone very different directions late in the season. FSU has clearly improved while Louisville has looked awful it's last two outings. FSU throttling UF and UL falling hard against Houston, and to KY creates a story that's not to hard to buy into...

I'm not saying that conference championships mean nothing. conference championships mean something. they don't mean everything however.

That's cool you believe that and all, but yeah, no. I would never in a million years argue that Michigan should be ranked ahead of a team that beat them by 39 points. That's over 5 touchdowns.

Like I said, if we had only beaten them by like 3 or 7 in a really close game that could've gone either way- have at it. Got no problem with it.

But that's not what happened. They got wiped off the field by Michigan.

Michigan played Florida last year in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando and made a big statement winning 41-7.

I hear you on Louisville/FSU- but their resumes are pretty similar. Save for losing to Kentucky. They both have 3 losses. They both don't have very many big wins. FSU has 1 win over a team ranked in the top 25 right now- and that's Florida. The rest of FSU's wins were pretty meh. Louisville has a better win (43 points over FSU) and the head to head by 43 points and similar losses. Save for the Kentucky loss.

I think it depends on if these guys are into it. If they are into it and not upset and hungover that they missed the playoffs- think it will be a similar result to last years bowl game. Speight getting a month to heal up will be huge for the offense.
