Johnson isn't a high caliber player so his commitment isn't going to help Powder Harbaugh win any B1G championships. Of the three commits from Prattville Harbaugh has, only K. Davis has what I would consider potential to be good at the next level.
Interstingly enough, there was a lot of talk among coaches down here about the satellite camp and it was fairly negative. Most comments were along the lines that Chad Anderson (HC at Prattville) had really messed up hosting a B1G school and that it would probably hurt his program with in state offers moving forward. I don't necessarily buy that - if you can play you will get offers - but the overwhelming consensus was that Anderson broke a long held tradition of Alabama and Auburn having the first cracks at D1 talent. Will be interested to see if other satellite camps have a similar effect throughout the SE. Breaking or tweeking long standing relationships between HS coaches and SEC schools is serious business in the South. And Anderson has put himself put there with this one.
I imagine taking this kid was a "get your foot in the door" move by Harbaugh. and listen his HS HC got the kid a great scholly from a very decent school so he should be applauded. It's not like Bama and Auburn would ever blackball a star recruit because they don't like his HC?
