This from G. Henson:

I got another interesting text from a good source that Josh Rosen “is in” if Jim is indeed named the next Head Coach at Michigan. Rosen is a California kid who is committed to UCLA, but sources say he will more than likely be a Wolverine once the search is resolved next week. That is a bit of a surprise to me as Michigan already has a nice prospect in the class, Alex Malzone from Birmingham Brother Rice. I’ll admit, I know next to nothing about recruits, I’m just passing it along from a solid source.

This from G. Henson:

Yeah, I'd heard this before. Rosen was obsessed with Luck and wanted Stanford badly at the start of the process (they didn't offer).

This would be the kind of thing that kicks off dominos. I just hope we keep the class together, which I think we will for the most part, but a 5 star QB flipping would get the ball rolling in the wrong direction.

Also, there's a strong chance Mora gets serious consideration for the 49ers job. I've also heard Kelly might be a candidate but that's another discussion for another day.

Have we agreed yet that Harbaugh is a great coach? Michigan is going to benefit huge from this! The thing that sucks for us is he will leave in 4 years and someone will follow suit with great talent. It will be easy to recruit for him. Guy is a beast and will be a bitch for our recruiting. Good for him though as I loved the Niners because of him. Respect

Whatever. Harbaugh's a good coach. Good for Michigan for landing him. College football's better when the great programs are doing well, and Michigan's one of those. Plus they'll be a good counterweight to OSU.

As for impact on us, they might beat us on one or two recruits a year, but Harbaugh's genius has never been recruiting, it's in making the most of what he's got. And guess what, we don't play them any more.

I can still see them losing 4-5 games easily next season..... which might rain on the parade a tad. (IM reaching but I can sleep better at night with this thinking)

I personally think this is a great hire. This is who they wanted and it looks like they are going to get him. Michigan does a good job recruiting it self. You bring a hard nose coach that won't put up with a bunch of BS that should be OK a recruiting. They will still be behind OSU but they will probably be the second best team in the big10.

I don't understand it from Harbaughs side though. We would have have a few offers I believe from NFL teams where you don't have to spent a ton of hours on recruiting and then coaching. To me I would take less money for team in the NFL. And for the record I don't think he is worth saban money.

That remains to be seen. But Michigan couldn't afford to mess up this hire and they have apparently hit the home run.

The Raiders are going to take one last shot at it but right now all signs are pointing to Michigan.

Fk! My football season has gone to shit. Thank God the Giants won the World Series.

I hope Michigan ends up spending all this money only to have Harbaugh not work out in the end. It would be a beautiful ending. Chances are it works out for them though.

I don't think the money matters for Harbaugh, but the Raiders would have to include control over team decisions, not to mention a monster ton of compensation for the 49ers. Of course the 49ers have to grant permission for all this to happen anyways.

There is no bad decision for Jimbo in this case. He returns to A^2 as a hero and saviour or he builds his own NFL team into a superbowl contender.

Let's be fair Jim Harbaugh is much more classy the Jumbo has ever thought about being. Harbaugh should even be called Jumbo.

Yeah they are saying the Raiders are a long shot but they have a chance because they can trade for him possibly and Harbaugh has said he'd prefer to stay in California. The Raiders are top candidates for a move to Los Angeles. Again.

Recruitment and commitments go out the window almost everywhere if they announce he's going to Michigan for sure.

Can't blame Michigan for hiring the guy and it's really good for college football. Not so much for ND.

Not sure I agree with that. He'll poach a few, bit I don't see this having a major impact this year.

Yeah I don't mean to say everyone, but more everywhere. Like you said he'll be able to poach a few. He's the type of hire that could call a five star commit to Alabama, USC or Oregon and not only would they take the call, they might make the leap.
