I heard Feldman say now that Harbaugh is not interested, it looks like Schiano or Mullen are top candidates. The one thing w/ Mullen is that while he's a northeast guy he runs read option offense similar to RichRod, so they're less likely to go down that road again. schiano turned them down before they hired Rich Rod last time. I bet he'd jump at the gig this time around.

I'm actually pretty sure that Da Bears wouldn't. They'd never give that much control to a coach unless Halas came back from the grave. The Skins? I don't know if Snyder wants another huge issue with a head coach. The rest might, but you can't separate Harbaugh from his ego.

I know someone who works in University of Michigan's legal department, and apparently they were not sad to see Hoke go in that office. They were furious with Hoke for the whole Shane Morris concussion-gate debacle.

My understanding is they reached out to him over the weekend and Harbaugh stated he wants to stay in the NFL.

It would be ignorant to avoid Mullen because his offense is similar to Rich Rod's...who appears to be doing quite well now. But then again...this is UM we're talking about.

Smart move. He's got a good thing going for him. Not worth it to uproot his family only to be fired in 5 years for implementing something that wasn't sent down from heaven by St. Bo Himself.

All I know is that he beat USC this year, which is impressive, but his record is very mediocre (just 27-22 overall). Why is everyone high on Addazio? Not challenging, hoping to be enlightened.

His track record isn't that impressive, at all. It's more that people think he's got the right personality for a big time program and could do great things with the right pieces. He's done decent at BC with effectively no talent.

BC was 2-10 before he got there, and he's posted back-to-back 7-5 regular seasons. Kelly, with immeasurably more talent, has gone 8-4 and 7-5. He also has championship experience at Florida. He's not proven, but people think he's a smart bet.
