I love it. If your program sells itself as an NFL minor league, be prepared for the guys who buy into that to treat it like one.

It's a smart business decision for him even if he's 110% healthy. What if he's just not that good without Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave absorbing the opposing defense's focus? I am not saying that is the case, but he's going to make millions based off of one incredible year. No sense in sullying it.

Sure good for him. But hope he can look his teammates, Stroud in the eyes and know he contributed to their loss to Michigan and overall soft culture. Heck good for us too maybe Harrison Jr is done by kickoff in South Bend in 2023.

Hartline spends three years coaching the kid every day and he won't even play in the CFP. Laughable.

I suspect a lot of the names that we thought would be on OSU next year will not be. Won't be one bit surprised if Harrison gets out of Dodge with no Stroud especially because someone will give him insane money. Treyveon Henderson rumors, too.

The pragmatic business person in me is like smart move bro go get paid. The CFB romantic in me is disappointed.

Sounds like it could be the Hammie though that never quite healed since week 1. Don’t blame him.

Well, we had our two best players sit out last year too, so we're not any different in that regard.
I should underline that I'm fine with them making that decision. I don't have to like it as a fan, but if I was in their shoes I would probably do the same for my family after what happened to Jaylon.

This is different than sitting out a bowl game though. This is the playoffs.

Many rumors floating around that he had made this decision weeks ago and the hammie has been healed, he was pulling a Bosa...

I'm not talking about missing an exhibition bowl game.

He's basically pulled a Nick Bosa and won't even be participating in the CFP.

Not playing in the playoffs is.....not common. It's common to skip some of the bowls that have no shot at ending in a championship but wow. Didn't expect to see this. If it's injury related, it's one thing but then don't make an announcement, keep rehabbing and try to be full go.

But putting out that statement when your team still has a chance to end the season as champions is bitchmade. I didn't come down hard on Kyren for skipping although I was disappointed because he was very likely the difference between a Win/Loss but he had to look out for himself when the team didn't get a chance to win a title.

But this is different. Why play during the season at all if you've already put up good numbers in prior years?

You hit the nail on the head here. Don't be surprised when this becomes the next step in the natural evolution of player participation. Next step after that will be the NFL lifting its 3 year rule (for better or for worse).

Amazing how you beat Michigan your on the top of the world for a year. You lose to Michigan and it's all up hill into the wind on a cold day....

Michigan is proving that if you play as a team with toughness and physicality, you can defeat teams with vastly superior talent.

It will be interesting to see how they do in the playoffs. If they beat TCU and then hang with Georgia, it will be quite a Testament of their program.

If Georgia is healthy, they beat Michigan worse than last year.

I assumed they would promote from within for OC, but I don't think anyone on the staff has ever called plays before.

The NFL Draft class in 2023 is loaded at Tight End. Good decision on his part in terms of raising his value for 2024.

Meh, he was disruptive in that game this year, but much of that was the communication issues we had in the interior of the line. Hopefully we don't have that problem again at the beginning of next year, although we're losing some experience there.

There is talk Stroud could return?

Has a few more days to declare officially. No way right?

Caleb and Drake Maye next year is likely even more competition at the top of the draft.
