I just want to say that for the first time in my life, I am absolutely ashamed to be a fan of the Irish.
Today I was barely able to watch the game due to being at work. No volume, and noticed Rees drive us down the field and win at the end. I come home to rewatch the game, and have to listen to our "fans" boo our own.
What I am ashamed of is our fanbase. Now I am a homer, like most on here. But the absolute lack of class that our "fans" have shown today is sickening. I would mainly just call some of you stupid for calling for Kelly's head today for starting the season 2-0 for the first time since 2008...but to f*cking boo a kid like Tommy Rees who came in cold, after a suspension to play for an injured teammate, is beyond ridiculous.
Don't even give me an excuse that you didn't realize that Golson was hurt, that point is invalid. Tommy served his suspension, and I was as mad at his stupidity as anyone. But if there is a group of people in this country that should know something about forgiveness, it should be our fanbase.
You don't boo a kid playing a sport like this, let alone someone that represents the team you supposedly root for. I feel bad for some of you. And you should be ashamed and embarrassed. And I pray that someday soon in your life that you have some sort of clarity.
End rant.
