There are 4-5 different types at lids.com. They aren't the best looking I've seen, but they're cheap. I bought a couple and thought I'd share. They are usually $25.00- $30 .00.

most of the cheap ones are 47 Brand fitted hats (non-flat brim) kind of what I would call "floppy" fitted hats.. my word choice is terrible, but being an idiot, I can't think of a better one

Holy crap, it's too bad they don't have my size. They've got "my" cap in blue for $5.59. I need XL though for my big head. I'd buy 10 of these at that price.

Yeah, it doesn't look like they're flat brims, most of them are normal style. A lot of fitted hats too, which I prefer these days. I used to only wear adjustable, snap backs, but the snaps wear out over time (Probably because I wore them in high school and the girls used to love pulling my hat off constantly for whatever reason). The fitted hats seem to last so much longer, which is good for a guy that wears his Irish hat every day.

Same. I'm "Bobby Big-Head". This happens regardless of where i shop for ND hat's. I'm sure that the flat lids could be bent...going to try that.

People keep commenting about the flat brims, but most of the hats are standard it looks like. I agree that it looks like the flat brims can be bent too. I think the bigger issue here is the fact most of the hats on sale only have midget size available, or they're fugly. Explains why theres a sale.

You're free to bend the brim. Example: Major League Baseball's official on-field hats would be so-called "flat brims" but most players wear them like normal human beings, not hoodlums.

Hey! Watch generalizing and stereotyping okay! I ain't no hoodlum, I a gangsta.

What baseball cap in the history of mankind didn't have a brim that you could shape to your liking?? Almost every single hat I've ever owned, and I'm a hat guy, has come with a 'flat brim' that I wouldn't get caught dead wearing, it takes all of ten seconds to fix it...

I guess I'm out of touch seeing as I only wear flat brims.

I'm with ya on that! I need XXL, and they're damn near impossible to find. I'm a little under 6' tall, but my hat size is 7 7/8 or 8 with my head shaved bald, so I rarely find anything that fits.

When I got diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome, the doctor told me that the thick bone mass of my skull protected me from much more severe damage... Completely destroyed my lifelong claim that my big head was due to excessive brains!

OK, OK, I'm an old fart.

In my youth all baseball caps came with a flat bill (or brim). The "arc" came with wear and effort. Much as one "worked" a new glove with Neatsfoot Oil one "worked" the brim of one's cap with sweat or playing in the rain to arrive at the preferred curve.

"One Size Fits All" is bullshit. I have a small head yet think too much. Or over think the little things. I also have a smaller than usual mouth – which doesn't stop me from rambling and talking a blue streak.

Overcompensation?

The world was once thought to be flat. Now it's known to be round. The same can be the fate of a cap's bill/brim.

Maybe I should move to Colorado and toke up a bit. I might then make some semblance of sense to those around me ...

I just wanted you all to be happy and have access to inexpensive hats. Instead, my advice has resulted in debate and judgement regarding hat shape and head size. IE is a sad place.

Are you in the middle of a break down? Have size complex?
Come one, lets do some yoga together….breathe in, thinking happy thoughts, breathe out, releasing the negativity… put yourself on a beach some where…imagine life is good, be one with the ocean, be one with the seagulls.

..did that help?

Nope. Not one bit.

You're talking ocean, seagulls, sunshine and warm breezes to a man facing a little more than 8 hours of daylight and temperatures low enough to freeze vodka.

Piss off, Mr. Rogers.

Close but no cigar. I'm still getting gloating e-mails from family and friends in Florida and friends in SoCal.

I'm a bit grumpier than usual.

Did you know that anger warms one from the inside out???

Ah yes, the tundra of Minnesota. Not bueno… I saw on Yahoo that some places can expect minus 70 degrees soon…no kidding! Hope its not where you are.
So if all the vodka is frozen, what are you sipping? Or is that why you're so grumpy?

IMO- the problem with the flat caps aren't that they don't bend, but that they sit really high on your head.

I prefer the floppy style that sits low.
