More group psychosis.

Now to calm our nerves over the perceived loss of Knight we've all of a sudden mass manufactured this fiction arbitrary reality where it was either ND got Knight or they got Carr. And then since naturally, we all think Carr is obviously the better prospect because of blah blah blah--losing out on a prospect with Vince Young type physical tools doesn't really matter and ho hum ho hum its no biggie.

Even when back in Actual Reality World it wasn't ever an either or proposition between the two.

This then provides the opening for the last step in the recruiting loss grievance process--

The patented and predictable declarative--

I didn't even really want to get that guy anyways. He's just ____________ and will end up ___________.____________ is better anyways.

While I agree with your basic premise here. Of course we should want Knight in class. The way you say things come off as an annoying asshole. And you do that shrink garbage that pisses people.

Based on my analysis the reason you act the way you act is due to

Your gym teacher touched you on said place on the doll

You walked in on your dad cheating on your mom with Richard Simmons.

Your mom likes scumbear

You were rapped by a seamonkey as a child

Or your mom wouldn't stop breast feeding you despite her looking like a Walmart wolverine

Burrow and Ewers both left Ohio State. Kids want to play. You think a raw Deuce was playing over CJ? A kid with over a year in the program that is already being described as having the best arm on the roster? Deuce is quite likely transferring whether he’s our backup for a year or not. While I’d like to land him, have him sit back like Matt Cassel and learn, be patient, etc., we actually need a guy like him 2 years removed from CJ, not necessarily a “Vince Young” sitting the bench watching CJ Carr or waiting for an injury. Again, if he came and waited and/or competed to start then I’d be ecstatic. If he was good enough to dethrone CJ, then I’d also be very happy. I just never saw it as a reality. I don’t know who we are after in the 2027 class, but I agree with Urban Meyer, we need to find a BQ and develop a first round talent that will stick around. Maybe it’s CJ. Maybe 2026 kid is that guy. Maybe it’s Minchey. But we need a big, athletic 2025 QB that wants to battle and can handle Notre Dame.

It's a critique/observation of the process moreso than an indictment of any one singular player.

Assuming Golden is still in place, they'll be four years deep into the same defensive system--an eternity this day and age--still backfilling a pivotal spot through mid-P5 transfers that do not fit the profile.

Maybe like actually recruit a Nickel at some point worthy of starting? Just a suggestion.

But yes--also--congrats to UDFA Thomas Harper for joining an exclusive club of 1,700! Will go down in the annuals of ND lore alongside Rockne, Montana, and Teo!

Why one only need observe the immense amount of hand wringing this entire offseason and the reports coming out of fall camp of how ND will never possibly be able to displace the singular talents of the illustrious Thomas Dwayne Harper III. I know it will be one of my greatest concerns on Saturdays this fall.
And yet, these defenses have been excellent, so....

These would all be very strong theories were it not that I was a home-schooled orphan adorned in a seamonkey chastity belt as a child.

agree, but we'll have to hit the portal much harder next year. I think a pretty significant drop off next year on the D with losing Mills, Cross, Watts, BenMo. 4 potential all americans on D. We also will lose 3-5 WRs, 3-4 of them will be significant contributors this year.

In the portal next year we'll definitely need (starting quality)
1DE
1-2 DT/NG
1 CB
1 Safety
1-2 WRs
1 TE (Possibly if Evans goes pro and Raridon isn't what we all think he could/should be)
There's almost 0 chance we bring in starting level talent like this.

Friend...you're an insufferable twat. I desperately hope with the season coming you find a different place to post this nonsense.

May I suggest NDNation?

I find it interesting he hasn't made a decision yet anyone think he is waiting to see our offense?

Deuce visiting auburn this weekend is solid timing to watch them play Alabama A&M at 6:30.

Yeah I thought he was OV'ing to Auburn this weekend to get his his glam shots, and assumed he would commit after that so he could announce with a highly-produced video from their stadium overlooking some tree limbs draped in toilet paper or whatever Auburn's version of Touchdown Jesus might be.

FWIW, the reigning national champions* had neither elite WR play nor a dual threat QB. I don't know that most would say Georgia did the year before either. There are several ways to win a title.
5* DL and CBs can make up for that when you control the clock on offense w/ a deadly running game and another 5* RB....so swap the 5* WRs and DT QB for 5* DL, CBs and a RB makes it work.

To be fair, Michigan didn't have a 5-star DL. Their highest rated guy was Braiden McGregor (rated lower than Botelho), who was a 4-star, and composite 124th ranked player. Graham was a low composite 4-star. Grant and Jenkins were composite 3-stars. Stewart was an undersized grad transfer from Coastal. Their star talent was definitely nothing to write home about. Only guy that really fits the bill is Will Johnson, but in that vein, ND has Ben Morrison, who is as good or better, and was barely a 4-star as a recruit.

It comes down to evals. Michigan clearly did their homework when tagging guys like Graham and Grant, just as Mickens did his homework with guys like Morrison, Gray and it would appear Leonard Moore, at least.

And I'd be hard pressed to put last year's offensive success on Donovan Edwards, the 5-star back. Corum was far and away the bellcow back in 2023. Edwards had a huge run in the title game, but outside of that, his numbers in '23 were not impressive. He went into the Washington game with 113 carries for 393 yards, less than 3.5 yards per carry. That's not good. Even after that game, he finished with 4.2 yards per carry on the year.

Can we embrace fuck him yet?

The only real way to blame coaches involves them believing this kid and his family. Maybe when his first name is a euphemism for shit shoulda been a warning but I believed to. I guess as a giant deuce its appropriate his Auburn swag is a wiping towel.

I would say here and a little with Meadows you end up a little cucked when you keep begging em to come back. You put your best foot forward, they spit in your face, move on. Neither is gonna make or break us. There are far more blake barnetts then there are fingernails Williams. Most that behave this way crash and burn.

Can someone take down the Verbal by his name? I mean, when you are wearing the towel of another school, it doesnt leave a lot less to guess on. If Freeman had any sack at all, he would have already pulled the offer.
Unless he totally changed his uniform from the picture on the previous page, I’m pretty sure that towel picture is fake.

He was in just an undershirt on the previous page
In all red, including red pants. The towel photo looks like black pants and white jersey with black numbers trimmed in gold. Didn’t look like any of the same color scheme to me.
