What is Auburn projected to do this year? This is like Miami and Jimbo's TAMU again, just straight bankrupting themselves for good classes. To think of all the wasted dollars on buyouts, flameouts, etc.

I guess Auburn will end with a top 5 class when it's finally inked. Helluva turnaround for a team likely to end with 7 wins this year.

Hugh Freeze, for all his failings as a human being, is a pretty decent head coach. He can sell that he has the program on an upward trajectory, and something he's always been able to produce at his stops are top tier offenses. Plus, when he was good at Ole Miss, he was straight buying players; and now that's okay!

Not saying it would be the best decision for Deuce, but Freeze does have something to sell to a kid who seemingly wants to stay in the South.

(Also, don't sleep on Miami. Cam Ward is a complete stud, that team has an SEC OL/DL, and Cristobal, for all his failings as a gameday coach, is a terrific recruiter and has stacked very good high school classes on top of transfer portal acquisitions. That game next season will not be easy.)

Iowa of the SEC! lol
They can’t compare Auburn, a program that has been middling since their playoff and championship runs in the early 2010s, to a team in the Big10 because the Big10 doesn’t have any teams that were successful in the early 2010s. Tressel/JoePa sanctions hit the conference hard, they were the slow Big12 for a bit there.

I go through periods where I really watch what I eat. A few years ago I found this high protein ice cream that was actually good but I can’t find it anymore. I can’t remember the name but it’s It’s not Halo Top. Anybody?
I wish I had some insight for you but I don't. I had tried various non-dairy ice creams/protein ice creams before but none of them stood out above the others. But the homemade stuff is legit good to my unrefined taste.

I'm also moderately lactose intolerant so I try to avoid lactose wherever I can. Hopefully somebody has a good off-the-shelf recommendation.

I'm not sleeping on Miami. All of these teams that end with absurd recruiting classes after bad seasons are worth keeping an eye on. They have the raw talent to turn around quickly and I think Cam Ward is a really good player. I just hope those programs continue to fail because they've taken recruits ND wanted. Simple as that.

Halo Top is garbage. Rebel Ice Cream is low carb/keto but definitely NOT low calorie. Enlightened brand is decent but not a ton of protein. The best way to get good tasting high protein ice cream is to get a Ninja Creami and make it yourself. There are recipes all over reddit

Nick’s isn’t too bad, it’s Swedish style with high protein and low carbs (fat content isn’t too bad either). The total calorie count is also low (along the lines of Halo Top or Enlightened, much lower than Rebel).

If any of you struggle with a sweet tooth, the Ninja Creami ice cream blender thing has been a game changer for me. I have one every single night and it's legit good. It was a birthday present and I had no idea what it was when I opened it. One of the best bday presents ever.

I do the fairlife milk, 6-8 oz, 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 tbsp sugar free pudding mix, freeze for at least 6-8 hrs, blend when ready. Absolutely delicious, meets my sweet tooth demands and is a nice dose of protein leading into rest/recovery hours through the night.
Been doing the protein Creami ice cream for 6+ months now. Got mine to 55-60g of protein and under 500 calories for the pint and i'd pick it over most any "traditional" ice cream.

Take it as a cue to stop wasting mental energy on this recruitment.

Yeah but you have a fruit, protein in the peanuts and grain bread 😀
I’m pretty sure that bread’s been stripped of any nutrients. I think white bread is one of worst things you can eat…unless you’re actively trying to become a diabetic.

When I decide to drop some pounds (I'm long overdue...lol) I just cut out sugar. I still eat other carbs, I just don't go for large portions or seconds. Seems to work fairy well.

…and fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
Greatest sandwich I ever made.
-fry up 4 strips of bacon
-slice a banana long ways and fry in some of the bacon grease
-French toast 2 slices of cinnamon raisin bread
-spread peanut butter on one slice of French toast and jelly on the other
-add the banana and bacon
-quick sear to each side of the sandwich in what’s left of the bacon grease.

You’re welcome.

For dessert, chase 3 Atorvastatin with a shot of insulin and call your funeral director.

I follow a similar plan but 40-50% of my protein intake is via protein powder in some form. I find it hard to hit my protein requirements on whole foods. I make protein pancakes in the morning, we do the Ninja Creami protein ice cream at night as a treat and in between it's nothing but lean protein (chicken thighs, pork loin, steak, 93/7 burgers) , fruit and veggies w/ occasional complex/starchy carbs - rice, potatoes.

The protein pancake is where I get a ton of fiber and good fats. Recipe makes 2 servings of 2 panckes:
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder - whey/micellar blend
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 8 oz almond milk
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3-4 tbsp wheat germ
  • 3-4 tbsp flax seed
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 whole banana
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp fiber supplement
  • add extra milk to desired consistency, blend and cook on hot griddle.
I usually add a little whipped cream for a treat. We all have our vices.

Our food bill has gone down drastically since we rarely eat out, probably averaging 3x/month

Speaking of pancakes, I make 2 ingredient pancakes and they’re pretty great. Just throw an egg or two in the Ninja (I have a vitamix) and a banana or two. Blend it up and use it as the pancake batter. That simple. No bs.
