It's just weird because it's clearly not anti-ND bias. Kedren Young moved into the top 100. Styles is top 200. Even Knapp is in the top 200. The rankings actually pander for the most part to the biggest fanbases on On3 in Michigan, ND, Bama etc. The CJ Carr rankings is personal to Powers for some reason.

I could be mid-remembering. But I remember they dropped CJ in the middle of the season last year after a bad performance. Since then, he’s been really good to end his senior year into the spring and summer as well, and he continue to drop despite that.

I thought that Dylan Stewart was #1 on On3? And they dropped him to 10 which is hilarious since he is a defensive end. They also bumped Texas A&M qb commit from untangled to number 56? He wasn’t at elite 11 and I don’t remember him at any camps this summer. How can they justify such a lofty bump?

Most of it is Powers saying a lot of nothing and adding plenty of caveats that they put the most emphasis on senior year rankings for QBs.

Singer finally pressed him and put on some elite 11 film and Charles gave a half ass answer.

Pros: Polish, Mechanics, Accuracy

Negatives: Reading defense, understanding leverage, performance against live defenses.

I was listening to IB last summer and they said that Arch is a good player, definitely a top 50 recruit, but that there were multiple QB's better than him in the 2023 class. If his name was John Smith he wouldn't have been the #1 overall recruit, let alone QB prospect.

Not that CJ has anywhere near the same level of pedigree as the Manning name does, but weird how the Carr name hasn't seemed to help him in the rankings.

Huh?? I think the Carr name definitely has helped CJ. Its one analyst that has him not ranked as high. Otherwise CJ is a Top 5 QB. I am not sure what more you want? He is a high 4-star QB out of a SEC HS in Michigan - not exactly elite conference football to begin with.
