He said something to the effect of let me tell you the kid can spin, but what I like is CJ is that dude. You can see it this kid has that shit to him, bounces around, teeters on that confident/cocky line.
Are we getting Trevor Lawrence 2.0?

How do you post a video from camera roll? Cooper Petagna from 247 had a great sound bite today on CJ.

Well, then Sayin is bye bye. Avery Johnson or bust.
Yeah, that sucks. I would now have to count '23 QB recruiting as a loss. Not entirely the staff's fault except they took Dante at his word...lesson learned. Not to count my chickens before tomorrow, but will be SUPER pumped to land CJ.

Disregarding familial connections at one historic institution to lead another, greater historic institution... knows that he must do what is right... is a natural leader of men, willing to put in the work to lead his people to prosperity.

CJ Carr is the Prince that was Promised.

Hard to believe this kid hasn't even started practicing for his junior year of high school football yet. It's a very very long time before he's on campus.

I am very interested to hear his thoughts on ND vs. UM after he makes his choice public.

honestly he reminds me more of McCaffery for Michigan if i had to pick someone. When he came in during the 2018 game he obviously looked not ready mentally but the ball came out of his hand different. I thought he was gonna be the real deal for them going forward.

Apologies for being a negative nancy here, but there's no chance that he's pulling an absolute troll job and commits to Mich/elsewhere, right?

It does just seem too good to be true for a 5* to commit to a rival, considering his family's legacy, to his brother's foundation/illness, and literally growing up in their backyard. I do understand the "wanting to pave your own path", but like I said it seems too good to be true.

No trolling, he’s into ND right now. I agree otherwise. I hope he sticks. There is no doubt that it’s going to be a long recruiting process it’s already being discussed on the media side at UMich

I think their media is being delusional/feeding into the fan base. It’s not like Michigan is coming off a 7-5 season. They just beat their biggest rival for the first time in 8 games. Won the conference championship. Made the CFP and he’s STILL choosing ND over Michigan. So I’m just not sure what else they can do/say to flip him. Unless something crazy/unforeseen happens.

This is where I'm at. He's been fed Michigan everything his whole life and yet he's choosing ND even after UM's best season in decades. And apparently gearing up for a massive recruiting push to surround himself with talent here. Everything about that screams "bought in" to me.

I think having your coach literally say "Sorry guys love ya, but I'm leaving for a big kid job" - then - "Jk, that was all a big misunderstanding, I'm back!!"
(and then having OC and other staff leave)
quickly, quickly, quickly reverts any and all momentum lol

It's two years out. I would think Rees would be gone by then as a HC or possibly NFL

Yeah, this is basically the opposite of the CJ Williams experience.

I would think he’s made this commitment fully knowing this. This is why it’s important for your head coach to be a dog in recruiting. Even if/when Rees leaves he’s probably going to have a really good relationship with the head coach.

I think with Dante likely picking Michigan, Carr definitely sticks with ND.

Agreed but it’s still gonna be an 18-month dogfight to keep him.
