Elite EDGE Elijah Rushing is an interesting story. His older brother, Cruz, at one point, committed to be a walk on at Oregon, but then changed his mind to head to Florida. He’s since transferred back home to Arizona, and now the family has a choice. His dad, George Rushing, played at Florida, but the experience for Cruz didn’t work out, and I think the Gators are out of the picture for Elijah. But Arizona has a puncher's chance here. Elijah has learned about going away from home from his brother’s experience, so I think that plays a role moving forward hurting schools like Notre Dame and others. Oregon has the clear edge here to me, with Arizona in the mix and Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and others trying to overcome any distance factors.

LOL. Yeah, this clan seems wound tight. Older brother is on school number three. Enrolled at UF in July 2022.

I've changed my mind, I'll have that fucking cookie now, yeah.

I think Caleb genuinely liked ND. I think he just liked Bama (and OSU, who was apparently 2nd) better.

Agreed! Caleb got what ND was selling and genuinely liked it. He chose to go a different route. I kinda get the same sense with Rushing, though distance may play a factor from the sounds of it rather than getting beaten out by Bama.

If it is true distance then good for him learning from his brother. Even though as a walk on that transferred I would imagine distance wasn’t a factor for his brother.

If it’s Oregon than likely NIL involved at some degree.

Hard to see us being a true factor here.

I took this as an overall potential positive. A few days ago I would be shocked with getting an OV

If you finish 3rd then you were never really in the picture. And imo if you finish 3rd I have to question if they like the school or not.

Is this real? I can't find anything on this. Is it a podcast where it was said? I don't see any CB for this.

I'm typically measured bordering on optimistic when it comes to recruiting, but this one here is not worth getting my hopes up over. If I'm proven wrong so be it, but it just has drama written all over it from where I sit.

Read an article and think his brother’s drama could have opened his eyes. Since some of that went down, seems ND interest has improved

That's a best case scenario for sure. Hopefully for his sake he doesn't have dumb handlers around him and his uncles are estranged from his life.

The altruistic "uncles" don't show up until midway through the Fall, once the kid is truly in desperate need of "guidance" and "advice" about the process.

Doing 115 MPH during a bye week or failing a drug test makes the NFL so much more manageable as a fan.

Pretty sure he is being visited today or he was visited yesterday.

EDIT: Confirmed visit yesterday per ISD.
