I've been saving my change for years. Classic 5L glass jug, nearly brimmed to the top with mostly quarters, nickels & dimes.

It's about time I put it to good use.

I hope a certain ND player will appreciate the $160-$175.
The IE Official Punter Fund!...or maybe Water Boy...

MFMF gets in home. Never breaks eye contact with mama Bowen. Slides sliver of golden dome across the table while licking his lips like LLCool J. “There’s plenty more where that came from”. Peyton enrolls early and becomes 3 time AA and first round pick.

1. Bowen and his current GF will have broken up before his sophomore year.

2. His and every other paid recruit is going to crap his pants when he realizes he has to give a good chunk of that to his favorite Uncle named Sam. One or two might even wish they had signed with ND where someone would probbably help set him up to minimize the tax consequences and build that chunk of change.

Where’s the Peyton Bowen go fund me? Btw isn’t that what OU did?
I wouldn't donate a dollar to a kid (safety) putting a gun to our head like that. Unless he can throw dimes like Bryce Young or Scramble like Caleb Williams.

PS...Antonio Johnson best safety in the country, top 50 coming out of HS...all signs point to first safety off the board in April...helped get A&M to 5-7. Just saying, who cares if Bowen wants to be a whore.

It's one of the least impactful positions which is why Kyle Hamilton dropped despite being the #1 guy. The money they are suggesting for him is outrageous.

I agree. And I can think of a few guys we missed on over the years that I was bummed out about....Eddie Vanderdoes, Seantrel Henderson, and Isaiah Mckenzie to name a couple and it always seems like it's no big deal after the fact.

At this point, just de-commit kid. My gut is telling me Bowen is not worth the stress he is causing

LOL....ND went 62-12 over the last 6 years with guys I can't name returning punts. They could put Chuck Weis back there for all I care at this point. The days of Brown, Rocket, Zibby and Tate seem over but without much drop off.

I'd imagine Mason is going to spend the offseason finding a punt return game. They tried to set up returns this year, and Joseph picked up decent yardage a few times... but it really became apparent that Joseph, despite being a pretty good safety, is slooooooooow.

Mason's PR unit at Cincy was elite at picking up chunks of that 'hidden yardage' you hear about. Even if they aren't housing punt returns (no one is these days), you can steal chunks, and that adds up over the course of the game. Joseph did okay at it, but I'd imagine Mason will find someone with a bit more juice to try and take it up a notch in '23.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they try someone else back there for the bowl game actually. Plenty of practices to get someone new the reps. Ben Morrison looked pretty good running back that pick 6…

Here are Fremeau's Special Team rankings for 2022. ND was #1 in offensive and net field position, and 3rd in defensive field position and punt return efficiency. We tied for 5th overall with 'Bama and Texas because Grupe wasn't very good.

100% this

If we don’t get the QB position right, it doesn’t matter who is at safety. Between this and the RB situation, neither will win or lose a title.

NIL money has to go down after this initial going nuts period. Even the most wealthy football nut out there will think twice after some of these kids get a million bucks to end up being busts or hitting the Portal. People definitely have FU money, but they have that money because they are usually smart with it.

I agree but I do think we're just getting started with the portal market. I think most of the spending is going to be on free agents. That's actually the more damaging aspect for the competitive balance in CFB.

Hope you’re correct. Unfortunately I think the BMDs look at the success of NIL in regards to groups of players and not Just one individual

It’s terrible with the current transfer rules, specifically in situations when players have zero or little NIL. Those with larger back ended NIL will be harder to lure away

This is where I’d be a terrible person, ‘I’ll be the at five.’
‘I’m right down the street, be there soon,…’

Right before I walk into some other recruits house half way across the country
