Film don’t lie, brother, which is why Golic doesn’t actually explain why people are wrong and just calls them idiots.
But the next time you have a bad meal out, just remember that you don’t know what you’re talking about and the overcooked steak was actually perfect.
Twitter is pretty limited, sometimes you need more than 280 characters to let someone know how misguided they are. I've seen some of the things that people have thrown out there. There are a lot of fair criticisms towards the offense, towards Rees, and to Freeman. There's a lot of assumptions and stupidity out there too.
Your analogy works pretty well though. A common yokel may think a steak is overcooked if he's never had one before, and then he looks pretty silly when he's complaining to the veteran cook. These yokels have never played a down of college ball, and there's an awful lot of them that claim to be experts and know how it works for student athletes at Notre Dame.
Right now Rees is the scapegoat for all the problems the offense is facing, and you can oust him, but when he's gone the problems that weren't tied to him will remain and they still won't be fixed. However a lot of it does get fixed next year. We won't be fielding half an offense of underclassmen, we return almost all our starters. We'll have much more depth at WR. QB position will likely be stronger as we'll return more experience and likely some depth either via transfer and/or a commit. The team is trending upwards is the point, pulling the plug after half of a season is premature especially after a big regime change. Nobody is happy with the current result, but there's no reason to believe this offense won't be more successful next season.
