Better. Still think he's a really good football player. Just seems like he's a giant pain in the ass wherever he's at.Better or worse career than Blake Barnett?

Rumors coming out of UCLA camp that he’s unhappy with how his NIL deal is coming (or not) to fruition. What made this thread switch from food to Moore?
I had it lumped in with the Alt thread as no need to open.
I agree with IrishLion... He's talented for sure, but yes, he'll be weighed down by NIL distractions. I predict that he'll play this year either way and establish himself. And then, if he's lucky and he grows up and eliminates all the noise around him and then finds the right school, the sky is the limit! I could be wrong, but I have a feeling there's too much talent here to NOT come through at some point. It's just a shame with all the bullshit surrounding his college career so far. But correct, as far as ND is concerned was not going to work out. On a side note, I think Angeli going to be solid. No he won't. Kids like this never pan out.
I find it so completely predictable for that clout chasing tool.Lol and the Tims running cover for Loy as he dodges questions from subscribers on the 247 board about his work as a publicist for the Moores last cycle.
The most generous explanation for how Loy handled covering Moore’s decision was that he did a bad job and got played by the family.
This.Literally caused me to cancel my ND 247 subscription and move it to the Xavier site. Just an absolutely trash example of a lack of journalistic integrity on Loys part.

They're not journalists. Whether or not they have integrity is another question altogether, but they are not journalists. That's another job entirely.Literally caused me to cancel my ND 247 subscription and move it to the Xavier site. Just an absolutely trash example of a lack of journalistic integrity on Loys part.
I don't know him or his family personally, but an 18 year old KID who is more worried about money before ever even registering a single down of college football, versus focusing on getting better and simply securing a starting job...Not sure why I’m bumping this with actual Dante Moore news. But here we are
The UCLA 247 site is saying it’s almost a certainty he will be leaving after this year. He hasn’t fulfilled his NIL obligations but still expects to be paid. Some talk his camp is already asking for more money before he’s even played a snap.
I highly doubt that Moore is ass my dudeBetter or worse career than Tathan Martell?
Loy is doubling down on NIL not being a factor for Moore. FWIW I do get the sense that he's implying Dante doesn't really care but the people around him are pushing all this. How true all of that is, is up to interpretation.
Everyone says Dante is a nice kid but the problem with him is that hes not the one in control of his own career. This probably is the case, but it's not a black and white issue. Dante seems like a really good kid. I remember reading part of why Minchey flipped to ND was he called Dante who had nothing but great things to say about Rees/ND. Saw Freeman say the same thing the other day about an interview of Dante being interviewed at UCLA- same old genuine Dante. His dad to put it nicely is an opportunist. Because of this, NIL was a big factor for Dante's recruitment. I don't know why it's so hard for Loy to admit that.
Because some people in this world just can't admit they are wrong. Everyone else knows it here, but ol Tommy Loy is just one of those people. This probably is the case, but it's not a black and white issue. Dante seems like a really good kid. I guess you do it in the hopes it'll get him to stay, but if UCLA is that sure he’s planning to transfer, why give him the starting job?
They have other QBs, who don’t all suck. You can invest time in one of them. And Moore’s a true freshman. No matter how talented, he’s unlikely to just walk in and be a game-changer for them. Nearly everyone needs a year to acclimate to the college game.
That's kind of what I was getting it about his talents... Once he wakes up and sheds the BS around him and truly embraces who he wants to be (maybe like Joe Burrow once he got to LSU) and really can put all his efforts into himself, his game AND his team, the sky is the limit for him.Everyone says Dante is a nice kid but the problem with him is that hes not the one in control of his own career.
Pretty obvious Dante's dad was a source for Loy & without Rees feeding him info he has no inside info on the program, so has resorted to top-tier bootlickingThis probably is the case, but it's not a black and white issue. Splitting hairs.Loy is doubling down on NIL not being a factor for Moore. FWIW I do get the sense that he's implying Dante doesn't really care but the people around him are pushing all this. How true all of that is, is up to interpretation.
Exactly. A number of coaches bailed when things were looking ugly the next season. Diaco was one, he knew the defense would struggle the next season after failing to bring in an NT nor a MLB for his 3-4 to replace Manti and Big Lou, so he took the opportunity to bail for a HC position.
Rees has left a stocked cupboard for Parker this year, and one of the most experienced offenses in FBS to work with. If Parker doesn't succeed this year it's on him, because he's got pretty much all the tools to work with. He's got a proven QB and talent coming in behind him, he's got one of the best RBs in the game, not to mention the best pair of OTs. The receivers are young, but promising. The biggest question mark is TE of all things, which is rarely an issue for ND.

I disagree. Loy said, and repeated, that that NIL was not the MAIN factor for DM. I believe him. Loy refers to Dante Moore specifically and not his entourage. This is not splitting hairs . I don't know of any other site that contradicted this info either.Because some people in this world just can't admit they are wrong. That's a distinction without a difference. Maybe Moore personally wasn't motivated by NIL, but he made his decisions on behest of someone else who was. End of the day he followed the money. Which is fine. He's hardly the only one. But let's not pretend NIL wasn't an enormous factor here.I disagree. Loy said, and repeated, that that NIL was not the MAIN factor for DM. I believe him. I understand, but to pinpoint one reporter for saying what he, and all the other reporters said, and continue to believe, is unfair. That's a distinction without a difference. Not the starter for game 1.
