I like the Athletic stuff, because they aren’t really biased even though Sampson is a ND grad. E
I like the Hit and Hustle. I like ISD stuff as long as Mike Frank isn’t on it.
I like the new guy at Rivals, Kyle Kelly. He actually came from an OSU site before & he is pretty straightforward, and I think does a good job.
I will listen to the II podcast with Prister Sampson & O’Malley. They seem to keep it honest.
With IB, I like Ryan Roberts. He works hard.
With Driskell it’s tough. I appreciate all the content. I need around 90 minutes of podcast to listen to each day and if nobody else is putting stuff out I can always count on him putting 2-3 hours of podcasts out a day. I just try to ignore his rants & arrogance. And the fact 10% of the podcasts are him railing on BK or Jeff Quinn.
I really don’t listen to Singer or any of his stuff because it sucks & he is always a day behind everyone & doesn’t give any inside info. I don’t listen to Goolsby on there either but that’s for other reasons that have to do with his training facility in Omaha.

Basically, I listen to almost all the podcasts because I need at least 90 minutes of podcasts every morning starting around 0600. ND football is my only vice/hobby, so I prefer to spend that time listening to ND podcasts.

Im sure the staff thought their would be an end to the hoops to jump through at some point and the pay off would be worth it. To use Caleb Williams, I’m sure Lincoln Riley doesn’t like dealing with Williams Dad, but in the end Caleb will be suiting up for him another year under Riley and by all reports is a great teammate and player. Dante could be similar, it just went too far.

I’m not sure on eligibility rules but if former or failed NFL players can return to college and make NIL, it could get interesting. Things might’ve changed but there was a time in my mid to late 20’s I considered returning to a sport I played for 1 year. I reached out to the NCAA and I did have some eligibility left under the rules. That was D2. Not sure about D1. That was also like 10-15 years ago. Book come back for a season? 😂 😮

They weren't "all in". He literally committed to ND. What should they have done? They gave him about two months to prove his commitment. He didn't follow through, then they DID move on (Carr). It's not similar to Amorion. They didnt't "hang on" too long. It was a couple of months.

Singer did it during the switch from Rivals to On3.
A bunch of people he had fights with changed their names when they joined On3 & he looked up everyone’s info (email or IP address) to figure out who was who and sent threatening messages to them on DMs when he got to On3.
Dude is so thin-skinned & vindictive it’s comical.
Stu Coman told me on the phone that he had to make a few board members moderators over there originally because Singer was “immature” and “too thin-skinned.” It actually bothered Lou S. a lot & he had to finally step in on subscriber’s behalf.
Now on On3 some of the new employees & mods are talking about it privately how much Singer hurts the site. He tells subscribers to get the eff out when the disagree with him & on phone calls with other mods he trashes ND fans. Says how much he hates ND fans & calls them names. And he sends subscribers threatening private messages.
Two different mods/employees over there told me they are all worried about how many people are going to leave when the $1 special is up. They admitted Singer is lazy at his job & spends all day on the board getting into fights instead of his real job. Said no other mods care about 99% of what goes on the board, but Singer monitors everything and gets really upset. Said he needs to be more recruiting insider & less hall monitor. One told me he doesn’t expect people to pay $100 to be talked down to or threatened, then receive garbage recruiting info. One told me a story about how Singer would have subscribers contact other subscribers offline (so no proof on the site) to get info about them so he could ban them.

I’m really curious to see how that place ends up when the special is over. People keep cancelling & going on VPN to create another account to start a new $1 special and it skews the On3 subscriber numbers.
I know people Singer banned who just resubscribed under VPN for $1, so he is actually costing On3 $100 per person at the end of the year.

He just uses it to show what an honorable guy he is for not ripping a recruit that obviously screwed a coaching staff pretty bad. And that’s fine! But what’s not fine is saying “something changed in the recruitment after his silent to ND,” and then NOT divulging what that thing is.

We all have a pretty good idea. But it would be nice if Loy would say what that thing is straight-up, since that’s what people pay for, or else admit that he doesn’t know what changed, and can show everyone that they were paying for bad info, because Loy got played by his sources for a long time.

Kind of crappy to give so much loyalty to a single recruit and his camp, instead of your paying subscribers.

Just my opinion, though… I’m sure one of our fine IE brethren will grace us with the true, full story, soon enough.

Tom does really good work and I think 99% of the criticism he takes his unwarranted. He’s very plugged in with recruiting; probably more than any other insider.

But the handling/coverage of this recruitment was really weird. His final piece was fluff and offered nothing new. He essentially chose a recruit over paid subs. I would think paid subscribers pay the bills. Subs want the truth, whether it’s good or bad.
