I’m friends with the owner of Brozinis.
I met him his first day in Indy by chance. Talked to him about the Colts & Giants (he was a huge Giants fan & we talked about how I went to the first Manning Bowl in 2006 at the Giants).
So I went to their soft opening at lunch & dinner with friends & got to know him.
Have been friends with him ever since.
He used to even bring his catering truck downtown Indy & give pizzas to the homeless when I worked on the circle.
I even go to the Brozinis down in Nashville.
He’s a good dude.
Dude, you've got the inside scoop. Need to know when he's reopening the South Emerson store?

It was supposed to be a LONG time ago.
Crap just keeps happening. It’s ridiculous.
I’m actually not too confident in things there right now. I know the one opening in Florida was a big deal because now he is franchising them.
From day one he was always interested in catering & then his truck. I don’t know anything about the business, but he made it sound like the catering side was a lot easier & way more lucrative than the brick & mortar. So I don’t know where the Emerson location ranks on his importance list with catering, truck & franchises?
I think it could have been open a while ago if he really pushed for it.

are you talking about the old White House on Mishawaka Ave?!
It’s called Jeannine’s House Diner now. Shirley used to cook late night. Generally, intoxicated utes would consume greasy diner food that never tasted so good. The trucker special was eggs toast and bacon for 2 bucks ish.

Stupid fact so had to bump this thread...

Local news station Fox 59 is voting on Indy’s best pizza this week. No Brozini’s listed (idiots) but, sure enough, Pasquale’s made the cut. The Pasquale’s on Kentucky road though which I didn’t know existed and isn’t too far from my house.

Definition of fake news.

Wife is doing fried pickles, zucchini and hot wings,… I’m not sure what I’m adding to that just yet,… maybe just a Cajun rice dish or something

Got my daughter ND Women’s Basketball tickets for today’s game without realizing two things:

1) 4pm tip
2) Super Bowl Sunday

We’ll probably stay for half or leave after the third to try and make it home for most of the game. In laws are hosting Super Bowl this year, so I’m at least hoping for some venison/elk summer sausage and Buffalo chicken dip.

Followup:
Had a guest of a guest show up with:
1. Cincinnati chili (he didn't know who was playing) (and he needed bowls & serving utensils)
2. Pasteis Belem ...thant tasted nothing like those in Lisbon, and meant using our oven

Mystery dish was another (weird) slaw.

Overall, major hit. In spite of us providing 20+ of meat plus snacks, the chili eyc...not many leftovers from 14 ppl.

Hope you all had a glad evening !

I'm very proud of myself.

Made air-fried buffalo wings and holy mother of god, they came out perfect.

Brined the wings in a brine of water, kosher salt, low sodium soy sauce, thyme, 3 cloves of crushed garlic and 2 tbsp of Franks. Let them sit in the fridge for 5 hours, blotted them dry, and then fried them for 10 minutes on each side at 375 and then an additional 3 minutes at 400, then finished them off in a sauce mix of 1/4 cup of Franks, 2 tbsp of melted butter, tbsp of Worcester sauce and a tbsp of garlic powder.

Very crispy, meat was unbelievably tender and flavorful and just the right amount of heat.
