I thought Peyton acting like a jaded Vols fan was the most believable part of the post.
I thought that was the least believable part lol. Who knows what he's like off camera but he seems way too well put together to offer his nephew $15M out spite to something that happened over a decade ago.

I mean if Peyton was in control of Archies recruitment like that, then wouldn’t he be going to Tennessee?

This will bite these places in the ass. There is no bigger gamble in sports than dropping mega cash on an unproven teenager year after year. Mahomes would’ve gotten $0 NIL. The vast majority of NFL players were 3 star players. The only thing similar to playing your luck with high school QBs is the casino. ND isn’t going bankrupt on these deals. In fact, they’ll surge ahead in this setting and the gap will widen. I could see it at lowly endowed schools like Bama and LSU. Smart rich people will figure out that the reall $$ net return is in the portal, not the high schools. That, ultimately, will destroy college football.

I agree with all of this and at the same time still wish some loaded ND booster would've given Dante Moore however much he wanted to come here.

I had the same exact thought lol. If I was won first thing I would have done was create a twitter account and @ both Moores, Mpemba, Keeley, and Tate.

What does that say about my priorities? lol

$30,000 per dinner for how many people? If it’s 100 minimum (article says triple digits) that’s $300 a person that’s not exactly jaw dropping.

This is unfair. Something needs to be done. I do not understand why nobody wants to regulate this bs with urgency.

“The guest list hit triple digits when including visitors, Texas’ full-time coaching staff, spouses, recruiting staff and support staff. The meal, complete with cocktails, beer, wine, flatware rental, a bartender’s fee and an ice sculpture, cost $29,129.40.”

Those ice sculptures will get ya.

Holy cow! I could gorge myself eating imported caviar off of Adriana Lima's ass and not spend this sort of money on a meal. I have to think that for some recruits, this is a bit of a turn off... just too flippin' ostentatious and flashy.

That whole story was pretty gross, TBH.

I’m sure lots of schools roll out that kind of spread for recruits/families (to what extent does Notre Dame?) but it all sounds just so over the top. No wonder kids like “taking their visits,” but I’ve got to think it goes to their heads sometimes too.

It’s also UT. Plenty of people are getting paid way too much for what they’re providing. A friend of mine is a professor and for smaller department events they still have trays and trays of extra food that just gets dumped. And shoot they don’t even have booze at their stuff.

Glad my Tide didn't get this one. Personally think Arch is overrated and not worth the circus that comes with his commitment.
