Seemingly every summer a CFB player or coach gets into an accident on one of these. I’ve heard enough stories about these to stay away forever. I’m just glad Jagusah was able to walk away

1) it’s asinine that the mods let everything from unverified rumors to trolls to clog up things there

2) makes you miss @Merckxe525
Tbf BobbyMac knows his stuff and we had heard the same thing, literally zero reason to delete something we believed to be correct. There's effectively not any difference between him posting that and Merck.

And fwiw the "optimistic" timeline I heard is "mid-October" for return to play. But there are a lot of unknowns with healing + strength gain.

While he doesn't care what fans think, this is the other side of the pay for play. He is more or less an employee, whether by definition or not. As an employee of my company, if I do something in my spare time that negatively impacts the future results of the company, there are consequences, as there should be.

Eh, you have to have a life. If you have a job where you have to stand and walk and you tear an ACL playing tennis over the weekend or hiking with your wife, it's unreasonable to have consequences.

On a camping trip, my father tore his Achilles simply batting a ball back and forth with my 5 year old brother. It wasn't even a sports ball. It was one of those $1 plastic bouncey kiddie balls that you get in one of those dump bins at the grocery store. He had to lunge forward a bit to keep the 'rally' going and POP.

If you're an athlete, ATV'S, any two wheel vehicle, non-goverened engine go-carting, sky diving, jet skiing, alpine skiing, rock climbing, etc. shouldn't be allowed.

What’s best case scenario? I’m assuming just like last year? Come back for the playoffs?

Off-season is notorious for this kind of shit, happens with pro players too. Too much time on their hands and too much risky behavior. ATVs, jet skis, etc.

Even in HS coaching I had player break his knee cap in a sledding accident over winter break. Shit happens and you can't put these guys in bubble wrap. My hope is that he wasn't being "negligent".
Will never forget Jay Williams on that damn motorcycle 😔😔😔

Honestly can't even remember.

Was he working at tackle or guard in the spring?

Jags and Bothelo providing a late season bump and relief.

Not a shot at y’all. Just me complaining about 247’s moderation

ATV = 4 wheeler. Often zipping around jumping shit having fun.

UTV = golf cart with a gas engine like a John Deere gator and just how you get around non paved places.

In a time of pure speculation, the first letter difference does connote different behavior and context.
Ride in mines when I'm in Puerto Rico all the time and definitely not a golf cart.

Yeah. Honestly, with the season as long as it is, I don't really hate this for our depth chart. Come back fresh in October, odds are someone else will be hurt by then.
But also, yeah, don't overcomplicate matters on replacing him. Jags is a guard; one of the other guards can step in. Lambert might be our next-best OL but he is a born tackle. Keep him there.

Wasn't JD Bertrand the last frontline guy with a highly publicized non-football injury?
Believe it was a skiing/snowboarding accident during spring break if memory serves.

As talented as Jags is, he runs the risk of being Pipped here imo. Barring another mid season injury on the oline, it'll be more difficult to wrestle a spot from Schrauth, Absher or Knapp if they're in form and entrenched.

90% of the time those injuries occur in ATVs

Jagusah is probably the best currently on the roster.. If he's healthy he's gotta be on the field.

UTVs are safer and the only one I've been on recently. Not as dumb as riding in ATVs as a football player by a mile. Bummer.

Given his injury track at Notre Dame, I hope that we are able to see Jagusah suit up healthy for the Irish.

Also given his injury track, I hope he stays to get his degree. The NFL is not going anywhere.

Totally sucks for me. Abshur will be a nasty mauler and a powerhouse in the run game, so OK+ to that. I expect him to step in at RG.

But the thing about Jagusah is that he (if he ever gets his body together) is NFL+++ material. I mean possible Q level material. He can actually throw people around literally. This season I was looking forward to the occasional Q-play where a gigantic gap would suddenly appear in the defensive line and one of our 6 great RBs would stop momentarily and wonder where the defense was, before walking in the end zone.

Drew White, not JD Bertrand

Should be back way before then
12 weeks recovery sure. He’s an athlete so maybe 9. I think he returned on a quick timeline from his pec injury… he’s still not just jumping in. I assume 12 weeks at least to get to playing… so I’d say 12-15 weeks. I’m not a doctor, I just play one on IE so I could be and probably am way off.

Anyone know how Black is doing this summer? What does the staff think of him? Do we think he gets a shot at tackle?
