On a related note, all I'm seeing is ATV accidents lately if this story is true. Not to be an old prick, but those things are dangerous.
Locally, one of our Peewee dads had the brakes go out on his ATV in mid June, ended up putting his face through a fence but walked away with mostly just bad bruising and some blood loss.
My neighbor, different friend, ended up in an ATV accident visiting family down in WV, was found unconscious and ended up in a coma for over three weeks as well as having seizures. He just came home, but still has some short term memory issues and PT to go through.
Another dude in our small town passed away from an ATV accident earlier last month, didn't know him personally.

That's just in the last month. Another Peewee dad broke his ribs earlier this year in an ATV accident. I'm thinking people need to quit screwin' around with ATVs. If you ride, take the proper precautions and avoid unnecessary injury, or just stay off them.

Not to mention this recent tragedy:

Off-season is notorious for this kind of shit, happens with pro players too. Too much time on their hands and too much risky behavior. ATVs, jet skis, etc.

Even in HS coaching I had player break his knee cap in a sledding accident over winter break. Shit happens and you can't put these guys in bubble wrap. My hope is that he wasn't being "negligent".

Most famous with Andrew Luck. Although I will say snowboarding is way more fun than ATVs with less of a risk for serious injury, especially Luck's mountain.

If he’s out the first few weeks of the season, I’d assume Absher starts?

While some will call him a dumbass, remember you're an adult and you're not the player... it's their life to live and whether that goes against what we would want as for the player and us as fans.... these guys just also want to live a normal life.... yes it's on him but he doesn't give a fuck what you think

I’m forever grateful that my parents’ DNA didn’t produce anymore than an average intramural athlete because my decision making from 16-24 would have given the ole IE boards ample opportunity to criticize.

He fucked up. He probably knows that. Fortunately it wasn’t worse.

Is absher better than Lambert? You get your best 5 on the field and roll with it I’m assuming they’ll shuffle guys around. I wouldn’t expect him back till Boise state Oct 4 that’s roughly 12 weeks

Assuming Guerby Lambert is the next best OL guy maybe you take a chance and move Wagner inside and let Lambert start at tackle. I know people might not like this idea but that’s what u would do. You got 8 weeks to work on this.

No. You don't worsen the RT position for a first time starting QB. The RG has to be Absher, Lambert OR Craig/Otting (other at C...I believe Craig was once getting guard reps)

We also have no idea how he was hurt on the UTV……can‘t assume he was being reckless. Could have been taking a simple ride as a passenger and it leaned to one side, he put out his arm instinctively to brace himself and fell on it. Some of the UTVs can hold a few passengers. UTV is not the same as an ATV.

He’s an idiot because ND is paying him a lot of money, and there may be a reckless activity clause in his contract. And zero chance he’s getting drafted after this season.

So he def doesn’t give a fuck what anyone thinks because that idiot is probably thinking about how he cost himself 6+ figures

If Jagusah is missing 4 or less games, I can’t see how they reshuffle the OL and then switch it back when he’s healthy. Should be:

LT: Knapptime
LG: Billy Boy
C: Ashy Boy
RG: Sully
RT: Waggin her

While he doesn't care what fans think, this is the other side of the pay for play. He is more or less an employee, whether by definition or not. As an employee of my company, if I do something in my spare time that negatively impacts the future results of the company, there are consequences, as there should be.

Jagusah is probably the best out of all of them. Which is why our second half against PSU went the way it did. Even him playing out of position and not played in forever he still had a great game.

After starring against the Nittany Lions and working at right guard during the spring, Jagusah seemed set in stone to resume the role, though left tackle remained an option. The most likely replacement for Jagusah at present is the aforementioned Absher who worked at both tackle and guard in '24, appearing in 10 contests playing 90 snaps—all in the regular season.
