Dale - "ND screwed Irvin". Sure, that doesn't blatantly state ND was unethical and I'm sure you'll mince words and try to convince us that you only meant to say #words.

How is ND potentially in the wrong here? By continuing to recruit kids?
So now you are asking I defend a statement of unethical behavior I never made, and anything I respond will be mincing words. Got it. You’re not even arguing me anymore you’re arguing against a made up foe. I’ll refer back to my previous response as it’s all that is needed here too.

Best of luck to him. It sounds like he wanted to be the only RB in the class and we want to bring in others, but maybe I'm reading it wrong. If it's something else I hope not, but he'll land somewhere all the same.

As in Irvin will be good or recruits will be pissed?
I think he is a very good player with natural RB instincts/skills. ND wanted to get multiple RBs in this class... likely because there will only be 2-3 on the roster after this year and ND doesn't have the same "portal" options as other schools... but in recruiting two guys with (arguably) better upside you're eschewing a good fit // bird in hand. Nine out of ten times shit like this has come back to bite Notre Dame in the ass.

He had some good ratings. We must be doing well if we are in possible to recruit better.

If y’all dont mind, I know sometimes in the back and forth the point of contention actually moves from one point to the next as the debate continues.

As an outsider reading through this, I think you are both right, and there is room for you to both be right.
I think on one hand it can easily be interpreted as Dale Implying he thinks ND did something wrong or unethical by saying “ND screwed Irvin”. Poor choice of words if that was not what you were trying to imply.
On the other hand, if Dale truly in his head didnt mean to imply that ND did something wrong/unethical, I can see where the wording of the comment created a different point of view on it from Whiskey.

Sorry to be long winded, just dont want to see y’all picking at each other over something that I think is just two different personal inperetations of the same comment. Carry on if you must 😁

I am 50/50 on the situation.

ND is throwing a fish back in the water in hopes of landing a bigger fish. I liked Lance Taylor, but I see Deland McCullough turning into a Tony Alford. It appears ND's chances at landing Limar are pretty good and with visits from Love & Young.

I give props to Irvin for committing to ND and being a good recruit (I've never read anything negative about him).

I can only hope that ND was honest with Irvin and told him that they were still looking at other RB's, as long as this doesn't bite us in the ass.

A lot of speculation ND cut him loose, does anyone have evidence of this instead of just opinion?

Notre Dame actively recruiting two other running backs (Richard and Love), while Limar is committing next week.

Nothing that I've seen. Until proven otherwise, the safe assumption is that he received the same courtesy we gave Jack Nickel: "The scholarship is yours if you want it, but we're bringing in these other guys with you, so no hard feelings if you want to explore other options."

FWIW, Singer said he doesn’t believe ND was planning on sending Nickel a NLI. Seems theoretical given it would have been a months down the road decision to make, but maybe not if that was conveyed to him.

I hope that's not the case, and it seems unlikely we'd have to resort to that absent a total failure of communication. But if credible evidence surfaces that we're actually "processing" commits now, then i'll concede the point to you.

Not true at all. Just know Notre Dame lied. It wasn't even about the competition and whose coming in. If we going by rankings, the other 2 ranked lower than Irvin

Naw they wasn't honest at all. Dishonest is why he decommitted. Its not about the competition and who coming in. I mean the kid is from South Florida. The comp don't get no stiffer than that.

You're clearly connected to Sed somehow. You don't have to dox yourself, but you'd better be prepared to share more detail than that if you're going to make such claims on an NDFB message board.

I don’t think we have to stretch this to macro levels to try to justify. ND screwed Irvin here. They will get more talent for it. He’ll land on his feet, but he got screwed here. Is what it is. We’ll get screwed back by some kid too but it doesn’t have to be justified to just acknowledge what it is.
Exactly. It just part of the recruiting game

Whatever you say, pal.

What specifically did Freeman and Washington lie to Sedrick about? We're interested in your POV, but you're not going to be allowed to make vague accusations without any substance.

Yeah, good luck Sed, but we are will be fine and so will he. I need evidence of wrong doing before I jump on the coaches. I have no issues calling out bad behavior, but at this point it seems like it may just be a recruiting over or something like that. That is common and acceptable in my opinion in this college environment.

Why was Tweed banned? From the posts I can see, he was giving information/opinion and may have attempted to justify his statements with time. If what he is saying is wrong, say what is wrong about them rather than just banning him.

From what I've learned, the quickest way to get banned is to throw out accusations about players or coaches and not have anything to back them up.

Then do that whilst behaving like a troll.

Maybe he is a troll or maybe didn't want to reveal too much. Seems like we could have let the guy finish or countered what he was saying rather than banning.
