Beat writers said he was the best receiver at getting open from early fall camp on. If Stuckey didn’t play him because he was a walk-on and not one of his guys, then I’m glad he’s gone. Faison is a stud. Best freshman receiver since Stepherson (including Greathouse and Rico) and he played half a season
He is better than Stepherson in my opinion.

Just throwing this out there after his MVP game…. Julian Edelman Comp? Similar height, a bit lighter but has room to get to 195ish?

Multiple ND players have said he was the best football player they ever played with

Let's be real, if he was as good as everyone thought he was, he wouldn't be MIA right now. It is very possible he had a very high ceiling and did alot of amazing things in practice, but to act like he was some prime time player when he isn't even on an NFL practice squad right now, is kind of crazy.

There are a ton of talented football players just walking the street. Talent is a dime a dozen. It's having the mental fortitude to maximize the talent and block out any noise and be professional. If someone isn't approaching the game with an intensity and professionalism, they won't even touch a practice squad.

I’m just repeating what they said. Chris Finke was the last player I’ve seen say that

They also said not to expect to see him this year cause he was that physically underdeveloped lol.

In 7 games played, Faison ends his freshman season:

19 Receptions, 322 yds, 4 TDs

Definitely on the breakout watchlist for next year. He's going to make everyone else better because eventually, they're going to bracket him if this is his floor.

And Brock Purdy was drafted last, Tom Brady 199th and Montana at the end of the third round. As much as we'd like our coaches to be perfect, coaches miss on guys all the time. I like that they saw he had more than scout team talent and elevated him. I wouldn't say moving a guy from walk-on to varsity after 6 or 7 games of his freshman year was a fail.

Be happy he has potential to be a baller, don’t be sad that Porker, Stuckey, and Co. kept him maybe underutilized him in Year 1.
