Isn't he a pretty solid lacrosse player? A bit of a surprise. However, if he has professional aspirations, probably an astute move.
All-American level player, and his brother was enrolling early to play lacrosse with him this spring.

The change is likely about the football team being "all in" after playoff snub + NIL money.

Is he in the realm of draftable? I'm thinking Devonte Smith type body (6' 170 lbs). Jordan is listed as 5'10 183. I'm not suggesting he has Smith's skills sets, but their bodies are comparable. Faison's burst and Lax elusiveness serve him well in football.

I'm asking if he has the speed and route running abilities which would make him a day two option. I'd guess this is NIL and a potential future in the league if he makes it his focus.

My buddy and I often chat about the lacrosse team and since his freshman year, he’s thought Jordan was overrated as a lacrosse player (we disagreed), and said “at long last our national nightmare is over” upon this news lol.

I get it...going where the money is...but it's still disappointing! I was quite interested in seeing him play lax with his brother and was hoping it would motivate him to be a little more assertive on the lax field this year.

To me Faison regressed a little in second year of lacrosse, probably due to football efforts. Maybe the football/lacrosse double is too tough.
Dylan is supposed to be even better in lacrosse than Jordan so maybe he’ll stick with lacrosse. Going to have to figure out how to pay him though.

Lacrosse ain't paying the bills...smart move by him. If he can just be an UDFA, he'll make approximately 8x the highest paid Major League lacrosse players. Sorry LAXbros, that sport isn't getting it done ...

He is also nearing decision about being serious for NFL. Lacrosse isn't going anywhere if he wants to be a professional with that I'm assuming a couple years away isn't going to make or break.

I mean he started *as a freshman* on one of the most loaded national championship teams of the past decade lol... what is the threshold for being overrated!?

In theory he can now play lacrosse after his Sr year in football. So maybe get healthy for the last football season then play lacrosse with his brother spring of 27
The plan was originally that he would play this spring with his brother, then go full time football after the season + prep for the 2027 draft. I'm assuming that the move to drop football now signals that he is done playing lacrosse until the NFL path has fully run its course. Speculating, but I think it's probably a combination of:
1. Taking leadership role in football / ensuring he doesn't lose his starting spot
2. He's probably earned a large cut of NIL / rev share for next year which comes with commitments
3. He wants to continue to get better and build chemistry with CJ to maximize production for next year. Team success, individual success, draft stock, etc. why spend 5 months focused on lacrosse when it could potentially cost you millions or negatively impact football next year.

“He’s a good shooter and freak athlete but has no left hand and is bad at handling tough passes and reckless”
