If this is true it’s doomsday. Freeman is losing his team. This better be bull shit.

So what's the deal with the transfer rules? Do no credits transfer over from like IU? Why can't guys transfer in but lose some credits? I don't understand why good standing from a Big 10 school for instance wouldn't be transferable for football.

Notre Dame doesn't work with the football program as much as other like minded schools do.

They won't do what Duke does for its basketball program. They wont do what even Stanford, Northwestern and Vanderbilt do for their programs.

You’re such a clown, this isn’t remotely true. Just because the program requires students to have a path to graduation suddenly the administration cares less than 3 programs who couldn’t even imagine getting Sam Hartman in the transfer portal.

It's true. And so does Duke but nobody is crying about their Duke degree being 'cheapened' because they will do what it takes to be among the best.

And we've had posters on here who worked at Vanderbilt straight up say that Vanderbilt let's guys in who wouldn't at ND.

Stanford no longer requires their players to take as many credit hours in the fall and will now start taking non grad transfers. They are trying, working with instead of against.

BTW- not one person apologized in Parkers thread and are still making fun of him even though he wasn't even the culprit of the offense. Go jump on them.

Stanford only allowed early enrollees for the first time ever 2 years ago.

Their administration is helping them less than ND’s.
And Stanford doesn’t have as many University requirements as ND, which is the limiting factor for undergrad transfers (classes needed to graduate in major+university (and often college) requirements tend to be more than a player can take while still being eligible post transfer)

The only question that matters is to what extent is the exodus the reality of the portal compared to something wrong with the program?
I think it’s too early to tell because of how poorly Del was at his job. Feels as if MF is having to rebuild the WR room from scratch.

Right now cocern abounds, but we have to hope for some transfers in. But the ND admin kind of suck at that part.

Well, all of the little girls pounding skittles and redbull have told me the program is falling apart and this shows Freeman has no clue.

Thoughts?

I'm waiting to see who we bring in before passing judgment but it has been a lot of fun today.

Texas and USC had 20 transfers last off season, Michigan had 14, Alabama, Washington and LSU had 21, Oklahoma had 25, Georgia had 16, Ole Miss, Oregon and A&M had over 30.

This is what college football is now.

Yes, as I was saying MF has to anticipate this. Maybe because it worked out better last TP season for ND, but in this day and age assume maybe more leakage than you thought, interview players early, get ahead of it. It's not changing and again, unless Admissions process is changing, plan on a lot of work (early and upfront work) to plan for attacking the TP and leakage.

This would suck. Rico was already becoming that pain-in-the-ass WR that somehow finds himself open at all the key moments.

Dude is gonna kill opposing defenses as a “death by a thousand cuts” guy, and occasionally hit a home run just by being consistent. The type of guy your rival lines up where you go, “he’s STILL catching passes for them??” because it feels like he’s been around forever.

So below are the possible losses?

1. Tyree
2. James
3. Flores
4. Merriweather
5. Holden Staes

Yes this list hurts. I have to think Chansi being sent packing is contributing to #1, #2 and #3 above... and possibly #5. I think play calling by War Daddy is why #4 will happen.

So if Freeman grew a pair and manned up to Jack Swarbrick instead of blatantly kissing his ass every chance he gets and start demanding changes like BK did....and fired War Daddy and gotten a legitimate, highly experience OC....how many players would leave cause War Daddy was sent away on his fucking tricycle....

Chansi Stuckey is a charismatic dude and he will get a P5 job more quickly than War Daddy if he was released... as he should have. What a joke.

What also sucks is we are losing lots of Prep kids who have been brought in by Freeman as HC. Now he can't easily replace in Portal because its Notre Dame admissions. I wonder if Freeman understood the fall-out from cutting loose Chansi.... methinks not.

Riley will need to run a lot next year! Keep War Daddy ....its perfect for him since he didn't like to use the WR room anyways....now he has a built in excuse: "What Receiver Room?"

Tobias and Rico lead the WRs in snaps right? A true sophomore and freshman with a ton of playing time available heading into next year.

ND is once again going to get the top transfer QB in the portal to throw them the ball. What is the rational here with these guys?

1 hated Stuckey and the other was 1 of 2 players that did not hate Stuckey and is upset he left.
