If he was really interested, I would imagine he would mention a name or two instead of "someone".

“I hear from someone from Bama a few times a week. The coaches have been awesome. Most of my contact has been with Coach Cox, but several of the coaches reach out weekly”

Full quote FWIW.

Ryan from irish breakdown has a really good podcast interview with Cooper on youtube worth checking out. one of the first things Cooper talks about besides the education part is how great the football facilities are like i hear so many other recruits mention to irish writers which is funny because isn't facilities not being as good a part of the reason why former irish coach BK left

Koon or not...

Anyone who uses phrases like "Tell me x without telling me x" or. "x is living rent free" ... without irony.

should be banned from any message board immediately
What’s wrong with “living rent free”? Getting over used?

Tell me Koon is living rent-free in your head without telling me that Koon is living rent-free in your head.

and tell me you never seen our facilities. UGA just built an indoor practice facility not as nice as ours and the football team as to share it with several teams as only the soccer teams use our football practice facility

... does this thread have anything to do with our young TE recruit? (about whom I would like news if available.)

I don't think ND has the best facilities by any stretch, but there's been improvement there, and they're more than respectable at this point. When I hear comments about facilities general, I don't read too much into it. I mean, one of the most stunning/surprising facilities I've seen is at Northwestern, and they aren't beating UGA and Bama for many kids, if any. They just built a badass glass mansion on Lake Michigan.

Shout out to the next cog in the TE assembly line thingy. Joined the ESPN 300 as mentioned in the class of 2023 thread, but also got a blurb as a new arrival in an espn.com Insider recruiting click bait article.

RANKINGS CHANGES? MOAR CLICKZ PLZ!!!

ESPN 300 ranking: 293

Notre Dame has a rich history at tight end, including the top prospect at the position for this upcoming draft in Michael Mayer, and the more we watch Flanagan, the more similarities we see between the two. Like Mayer, Flanagan has great size (6-5, 230) and a versatile skill set in blocking and pass catching. He has grown over three inches and gained more than 50 pounds since we first evaluated him. Flanagan also impressed off the field during our week-one broadcast of the GEICO High School Showcase with a strong leadership presence. He comes from a De La Salle (California) program that produces successful prospects.

Flanagan, Shuler and Vernon definitely are underrated some places due to their early commitment. Flanagan also plays in a run heavy offense but the West Coast folks I’ve read that are familiar with DLS through the years and seen him in person at camps thinks he’s really good.

He had an excellent block on Estime's TD. Really engaged his man. Starts around 55 seconds:

He has A LOT to work on regarding blocking. Nearly every single play that was blown up, showed him missign a block, blowing an assignment or somewhat half-assed throwing a shoulder toward a guy. Denbrock is going to shred the TEs after this performance.

Agreed, except, he did manage to wall off two defenders in Love's TD run.
