Kevin Sinclair is openly bashing the kid's talent in the 247 thread, which is certainly telling.
I'm fine with visiting UM as a commit being an automatic drop.

According to Mike Frank at ISD, ND knew about this. Not sure if it's a mutual thing, but at least communication is still there and he informed them he was going.

It is possible that ND has been cold on him and he has picked up on that. We are supposed to be in the hunt for some excellent OLmen in 21.
I'm conflicted because I don't know how to evaluate OL very well. Will he end up being a top 20 player in the OL class?
There are no guarantees so I really liked these early commits.
What's to gather? This is done minus the carefully worded tweet.
"After some reflection, I've realized I don't have what it takes to succeed at the incomparable Notre Dame so I'm opening my recruitment back up. Any bottom-dwellers and/or those who can't win their conference are under consideration. The skunkbears lead because they are a rare combination of both. Coaches who make excuses are also desirable. I wanna thank god, my family and myself"
I think y'all should chill. I'm not plugged in on this one or anything, but a lot of you are throwing shade in any direction you can because the kid visited another school.
We have had commits do it before and decommit, and we have had commits do it before and stay committed.
Speculating his ongoing recruitment is one thing, but questioning his ability or character seems awfully short sighted. (And even if you're right, doesn't make it right.)

What good is a fan message board if you can't throw shade at players who appear to have one foot out the door? If he stays with ND, then I'll post a new quote about how he "decided to tough it out at the best university in the world and is excited to play for a natty or 3".
I hope we pull the offer bc it’s his 4th visit. I’m fine if a recruit wants to take a visit to make sure of his decision...but he knows what scUM has to offer after three visits. This is just a slap in the face to ND and he is not worth the time. OL recruiting is not an issue for ND and there are plenty to take his place who want to be at ND.
