LD Act III at Ole Miss. He gives solid reps to ND but says at the end of the day, "Really, it was about me being greedy. I felt like I wanted more out of myself as a football player... I wanted all those carries, but it takes time to mature. I wanted to go somewhere and be ‘the guy’ and show the world what I could do.” Logan Diggs has played for Notre Dame, LSU and Ole Miss. What’s it really like at all three?
Likehood of him getting less reps if he stayed was high. Would have been a contributor. Like Jadarian Price but Price is smart enough to stay.

I'll be honest it sounds like LSU showed him the door after his injury. His comments of gratitude to Ole Miss and being sensitive to why he left LSU point that way to me. Did he ever get his degree here?

Maybe giving some up to Love his first year, but I think he would have continued splitting the carries with Estime in 2023 as he did the previous two years (Provided he stayed healthy, which he didn't at LSU). He had proven he had sure hands after the Fiesta Bowl fumble, and even helped get Estime right after his fumble woes in 2022.

I'll never forget being at the UNLV game, Diggs carried the ball something like 18 times on two drives to close that one out, almost every play going to him. After a pretty shitty 2nd half of football we just leaned on the running game to finish them off. UNLV knew the run was coming, but couldn't stop it. The crowd was kind of eating it up, and the announcer played it up "Loooogan Diiiiggs with the carry!" Diggs got us down the field on those drives, then Lenzy and Tyree got the scores on fresh legs. They flashed a graphic up on the big screen to give credit to Diggs for his efforts despite not getting the scores, he had a personal best 28 carries. I'm thinking that's the most carries for an Irish back in a game over the last 5 years or more, next closest is probably Estime's 25 against Stanford.

He was very classy the way he spoke about ND in that article. It's clear he wanted to go somewhere to be the guy, but that didn't pan out right away because of the injury. Sounds like he's matured and there may have been some regret about leaving ND. Hope he stays healthy and kills it this year.

Still hasn’t secured the position of feature back. Wonder if he sticks it out in Oxford?

Based on his last interview I get the feeling he regrets not staying at ND and missing out, but acknowledges he was younger and ambition drove him to try and find a feature back spot.

You're right, for some reason I thought he was a COVID guy and could have a 6th coming, but obviously he missed that by a year. Still, I thought Diggs had a medical at some point so he could technically play a 6th if he wanted to, right?
I believe that is the case

Thought he was applying for a 6th year because of all his medical issues, and then was transferring back to ND.
Was pulling for him, and he seemed like he had some regret leaving in interviews this year. Best of luck!

Have not followed him this year. Is he actually good enough to get picked up as a UDFA?

Looks like he was their #2 RB this year behind Kewan Lacy. Appeared in every game, but had just 33 carries, so probably some special teams work as well.
Seems like anyone with a pulse from a good team can get at least a training camp invite, and Diggs has been playing college football for a long time, so if he wasn't going to get a bigger role/check with Ole Miss next year, why not shoot his shot.
