Diggs is still doing very well as LSU's feature back. After missing the first few games due to injury he's got 585 yards in 6 games on 99 carries, .2 yards a carry behind Estime with just one cupcake played. Daniels at QB is the only other ball carrier close to him in stats. I think he's definitely increased his draft stock at least a little and he got to play close to home, while our RB room has been very good talent wise and hasn't missed a beat. This was a good transfer for everyone.

On a related note I commented how I thought we'd miss Diggs' leadership a bit this year unless someone stepped up, and it looks like Estime was that guy to fill the void. Freeman recently said Audric came to his office the other day asking what more he could do to help the team. Good to see the big guy being selfless and putting the team first.

Not really sure why people on this board have been ripping his ability. He was a terrific freshman RB and played injured last year. Next year at LSU he will probably be fantastic for them.
The threat of Daniels running the ball helps keep defenses honest and probably helps Diggs get yards too. That offense is incredibly potent, but Kelly still can't figure out defense.

Diggs wound up with an upper body injury against Alabama and missed the last two games against Florida and Georgia St.
In 8 games he had 635 yards for 5.6 YPC, little less than Audric but better YPC than his numbers last year. He's had 6 TDs which tied his number from last year with 82 yards receiving.
No idea yet if he comes back to finish the season, but the transfer worked out for all involved.

118 carries in 9 games. Even if he plays in the other three, I don't think he gets to the 165 carries he had last year at ND, but he had the most carries of any RB on the LSU roster.

As much as I liked Diggs and would have liked to have seen him stay, he left, Price and Love got the carries.

Love price and payne together only had 129 carries. He wouldn't have got all those himself so he made the right move.

Did Porker try to get him to move positions before Tyree? Just spitballin'. Maybe there was more to the transfer.

“Play me” meaning?

Or more literally

How ND was trying to use him on the field

Can’t read any of the comments but maybe he’s talking about LSU. He had 99 carries the first 6 games and only 19 the last 6 sitting 3 of them. Maybe he was hurt idk as I didn’t follow him.

Diggs is a master of vague tweets. Used to post shit like this all the time when he was at ND.
Not sure why everyone assumes he's talking about Notre Dame here. He's probably talking about how the crew at Chipotle charged him for the fancy carne asada when he only ordered a regular steak burrito.

He already transferred. We'll never forget how he considered transferring every single offseason until he finally followed through.

My most logical theory (which ties into your post) is that Diggs came back for the 2022 season only because he was lead to believe that he would be "the man". Ultimately it ended up a 1A 1B situation.

Even the most generous evaluation after the 22 and 23 years would show that ND make the right call. We can tell kids we'd like to feature them but they must produce when given the opportunity. Diggs has shown a propensity for getting injured. He's a good college running back.

Estime was one of the best RBs I've seen at ND. His ability to almost always pick up yards and get yards after contact was unparalleled.

I wish nothing bad for Diggs. It's really shortsighted to try and flash personal grudges on social media as some sort of motivational tactic, if his tweet alludes to his time at ND.

I would guess it's about LSU at this point. He was injured for a few games after Alabama, but he didn't see much action once he came back.

Very cryptic. No way to tell if he’s referring to ND or LSU but LSU fans seem to think he’s talking ND & he can “get revenge” in the bowl game. Who knows. It was retweeted by Holden Staes
