We’ve got too much talent split between Kaleb, Williams, Holly and Durham. That said, why doesn’t he just declare for the Draft? Why bother transferring?

Also, you can never trust a Rummel Raider. Trash school. 😂

I was gonna say maybe he could go Canadian league or semi pro but that’s CFB now. Kinda makes sense he’s coming back if someone is desperate enough to pay him above tuition.

Canadian league has some rule about only so many players on a team can be non Canadian. It’s why so many just not quite good enough for nfl players dont end up there because of that rule

Does he have the talent to be an NFL RB? I think the answer is no, so transferring around and not getting a degree is a bad decision.

Unless some other school was offering eyebrow raising money (and they aren't), he can always come back to finish out his degree. I think he could potentially make a NFL team, though...at least on their practice squad. Maybe get some ST reps? RB, as a whole, is losing its importance.

If he transfers, he's going to have to sit a year. I don't think he's a grad transfer.

Unless they're a 1-year grad transfer (like Hartman and Leonard), college football has gotten to that point that I don't see how any fan can get overly excited over nabbing any high school recruit and/or transfer. Quinshon Judkins entering the portal only furthered this, and as dublinirish said, it's always "open season" and any player can likely up and leave at the blink of an eye.

ETA: Just as an example - Miami fans: "Yay! We signed Justin Scott! Our defensive line is looking elite!" (I'd be willing to wager with anyone that Justin Scott won't finish his career at Miami).

Everyone has their own path. It’s not a big deal. Hope he finds the place that suits him best.

If be willing to bet $$ Scott ends up back in the Midwest at some point before his time in college is done. Illinois, osu, skunkbears, wiscy, purdue, cincy. Heck, even iowa if ferentz is gone by then.

r/CFB seems to think he didn't have a spot on the roster next year anyways
What a preposterous claim. Like your young talent all you want, the idea that your junior leading rusher doesn’t have a roster spot is crazy. Maybe you don’t give him assurances about his touches, but telling him he’s not a scholarship player would be crazy

But that seems like what LSU is doing to him. Is their RB room better than ND's RB room?
