Diggs came back from a pulled hamstring in Week 2, he looks to have separated himself as the main back for LSU in that time.
He ended up with 15 carries for 115 yards, 7.7 YPC, against Grambling with a TD and a reception for 18 yards.
Against Mississippi State he led the backs with 9 carries for 41 yards and 3 receptions for 30 yards, only Jayden Daniels at QB had more carries.
Good to see he's doing well and our RB room hasn't missed a beat.

He’d clearly be behind Estime and Price. Would most likely be competing with Love for the #3 role.

I don't think this is the case at all. Price has less than 20 carries and is averaging less than 5 ypc with 1 TD. He's coming off a Achilles tear. IMO, Diggs would have played a ton, and we just wouldn't have learned as much about the young guys.

He would still be #2, but there's a good chance he would have been giving up more carries than he got last year, probably losing a few carries to the young backs that have emerged. This was the right move for his career and he's at home where he wants to be.

I agree with this. Diggs would have been our number 2 back. But if he was here the younger guys would not be getting as many carries. I don't think the gap between Diggs and the younger backs is that great and the experience they are getting is worth the loss of a quality back.

Agree, I do think coaches need to start figuring out who the number 2 and 3 backs are…. There’s no need to rely on one back, or frichan 5. I get it the first four games, but stuff is about to get real and we need the best on the field

Good for Diggs. Hard to have too negative of feelings about him. He just never really seemed to enjoy his time at ND

Diggs is still doing very well as LSU's feature back. After missing the first few games due to injury he's got 585 yards in 6 games on 99 carries, .2 yards a carry behind Estime with just one cupcake played. Daniels at QB is the only other ball carrier close to him in stats. I think he's definitely increased his draft stock at least a little and he got to play close to home, while our RB room has been very good talent wise and hasn't missed a beat. This was a good transfer for everyone.

On a related note I commented how I thought we'd miss Diggs' leadership a bit this year unless someone stepped up, and it looks like Estime was that guy to fill the void. Freeman recently said Audric came to his office the other day asking what more he could do to help the team. Good to see the big guy being selfless and putting the team first.

Not really sure why people on this board have been ripping his ability. He was a terrific freshman RB and played injured last year. Next year at LSU he will probably be fantastic for them.
The threat of Daniels running the ball helps keep defenses honest and probably helps Diggs get yards too. That offense is incredibly potent, but Kelly still can't figure out defense.

Diggs wound up with an upper body injury against Alabama and missed the last two games against Florida and Georgia St.
In 8 games he had 635 yards for 5.6 YPC, little less than Audric but better YPC than his numbers last year. He's had 6 TDs which tied his number from last year with 82 yards receiving.
No idea yet if he comes back to finish the season, but the transfer worked out for all involved.

118 carries in 9 games. Even if he plays in the other three, I don't think he gets to the 165 carries he had last year at ND, but he had the most carries of any RB on the LSU roster.

As much as I liked Diggs and would have liked to have seen him stay, he left, Price and Love got the carries.

Love price and payne together only had 129 carries. He wouldn't have got all those himself so he made the right move.

Did Porker try to get him to move positions before Tyree? Just spitballin'. Maybe there was more to the transfer.

“Play me” meaning?

Fool me

Or more literally

How ND was trying to use him on the field

Can’t read any of the comments but maybe he’s talking about LSU. He had 99 carries the first 6 games and only 19 the last 6 sitting 3 of them. Maybe he was hurt idk as I didn’t follow him.

Diggs is a master of vague tweets. Used to post shit like this all the time when he was at ND.
Not sure why everyone assumes he's talking about Notre Dame here. He's probably talking about how the crew at Chipotle charged him for the fancy carne asada when he only ordered a regular steak burrito.
