Figured he'd get a few carries at least. Almost unbelievable what he gave up at ND to literally not playing for LSU. Just nuts.

watched the whole game and didn’t see him once. Not even getting a touch? Ouch.

Looks like he was listed as #2 on the depth chart. Also looks like 3-4 other RBs okayed ahead of him. Could he be in the dog house? Wasn’t impressed with anything the LSU backs did all game.

I thought early on the broadcast said he was out. I immediately searched his name and didn’t find anything recent so I may be wrong.

He has a pulled hamstring. He was going to be the lead back, but being made of glass isn’t great when you’re playing RB

Watching that game last night, I do feel like over the course of the season he’ll probably get just as much run there, if not more than he would’ve gotten here.

I think one thing he’ll provide them is a back that has the ability to be a good receiver out of the backfield.

I think we were fortunate that Diggs and Buchner moved on when they did. We have a lot of young talent that need reps and they're getting it because those two went elsewhere.
This.
I hadn't even thought of Diggs through the first 2 games. He had the edge in experience, but the emergence of Price, Payne and Love make you forget quickly he isn't on the team.

Sad but maybe he will do ok. Another solid year with ND and he might have been draftable. Of course he wouldn’t be getting many Carrie’s this year. If he had stayed we wouldn’t have gone into the portal.

ND's top 3-4 RB's are as good if not better than Diggs. Face the facts, he saw the writing on the wall. "I'm heading home!"
Maybe, and yet we trusted him the most to close out games. He wasn't maybe the best runner among our backs, but he also was the most complete. He was a good runner, he was a good blocker, he was a good receiver, he had good hands. He didn't have a glaring weakness, which is why he was the workhorse and then Estime got the carries in the redzone to pound it in. Like I said, I don't have a problem with our backfield, I like our backfield. I just find it funny when fans dog on certain players while they're here, and then they're quick to tear them down if they leave even when the players are classy about leaving. How petty is that? Hard to dog a player that chooses to go home and is wanting a fresh start.

He wanted a chance to be a feature back. He wasn't going to get that with Estime here. He wanted to go home and have a chance, hard to fault him. He was classy with the exit, and we've got a crowded backfield, no need for fans to go low.
Yeah, but none of that rhymes with pounce.

We’ve come a long way at from settling for Cam McDaniel the little engine that could…..well sort of. Chris Tyree should played alot the last couple of years.

He isn’t very good at football.
He had a 1,000+ yards for ND last season. He just transferred from a very talented team to another, which was pretty obvious at the time (and dumb).

Guy should have looked at a depth chart before bolting. Go to Tulane if you wanted to go home and play ball.

No, Tyree would be tackled by a gust of wind before he could get going.

He was a legit APB, with considerable game-time experience, was trusted with the ball, knew the playbook and knew the OL, and they knew him.
He would have been #2
He may have started there but Price and Love are both capable of things that Diggs isn't and he'd have slowly been displaced barring some freakish development in his final year with us. I liked Diggs and now that Kelly has already taken a big 'BK' on national TV, I'll root for Diggs to have good numbers at LSU.

Outside of injury, he's a forgotten defector.
