Sounds like they'll do the portal. It's pathetic that a P5 team competing for playoff spots has to rely on the portal just to keep position numbers above water.

ND isn't the only school facing roster issues. Clemson / OU / USC have had it way worse than us.

This isn't the appropriate thread for this discussion but oh well. The thing that bothers me the most is that the staff KNOWS that the wide receiver group needs to get better in order to take the next step. What do they do? They damn near lay a goose egg. Someone's head needs to roll.

Even Alabama had to turn to the portal at WR with Jameson Williams.

Getting back on topic, JoJo seems promising at CB and should stay there IMO. Need that speed in the secondary.

They needed him. Holden and the other underclassmen were not ready to start and had no vertical threat without Williams. Ex the Auburn game.

Thank you. I genuinely didn't know. If Notre Dame could land players like that in the portal, then Williams and Walker would be non factors.

It was incredibly stupid. He's a decent kid so I hope it works out at Illinois or wherever he ends up.
