Now that I think of it, I’ve never met an Alabama graduate in the real business world. I’ve met people from literally every other SEC school, and quite a few Auburn grads who were well respected, but never a Bama grad…. 🤔

Asking because I truly don’t know - is Auburn considered significantly more academically sound than Bama, or are they on the same level academically?
It has become a popular school for out-of-state students. Kids from CA, CO, PA, etc are all heading there. It’s a fun party school with an elite Greek scene.

In terms of post-grad, if they go out of state, most, I assume, would head to Atlanta and Nashville (Charlotte if you’re in finance). If you stay in state, Birmingham, Huntsville, and Mobile-Fairhope are the obvious choices. All three have tremendous perks and upside.

i've worked with Bama grads but mainly they are Indian ex-pats. I can't imagine moving from Mumbai to freakin Tuscaloosa as a teenager lol

Alabama is a pretty run of the mill state University. No better or worse for the average student than most state schools. However, it does not compare to the elite resources that some of the better schools have. And the more highly populated states have more high-end students purely as a matter of numbers; and those schools are becoming more and more competive as tuition at the private school (like ND) becomes insane.

I think it's certainly possible not to encounter a bunch of Alabama grads because they overwhelmingly tend to stay. They like it there, have good lives, and the networks are there to support them.

Huntsville has taken over economically in some ways, but traditionally Birmingham and Mobile (now including the other side of the Bay) are where educated people lived, and they historically were pretty closed off to the rest of the world. The nice parts of both cities are some of the easiest living in the country.

Almost no one wanted to live in Tuscaloosa or Montgomery, unless you worked for the University or were into State politics.

He should do a early version of what JT Daniels did and quit for a coaching position.

Why not ND?

Notre Dame is the Georgia Bulldogs of college lacrosse. Others on here would know better than me, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not enough to make this roster.

Edit: Nvm. Was just told he would probably play immediately lol

Someone may know something over at 4HL that he is coming back to ND for lacrosse.

Probably a nothing burger

Did he ever get his degree at ND? Would be pretty nuts for him to come back to finish it out on a different scholly.

Another note to point out; his GF is a current Mendoza student ('25).

Virginia or Duke is the Bulldogs...ND is more OSU....always there, should win one here and there.

Ps...just me giving it back a little 😉

Driskell said Tyler never became the QB he could have been because "he got bad advice"

So let me ask... If he comes back to ND for lacrosse, why couldn't he walk on for football?

If Leonard gets injured and he has to play, the schollie transfer to football like Faison. Buchner would actually make a good backup for Leonard.

Would be a strangely uncomfortable/awkward QB room.

Unless both backups are transferring, this isn't realistic. Maybe he'd have some package but I don't see this working out entirely great from a football perspective.
