Why is IB getting tagged re: QB competition? Were they at the forefront of breaking inside information on the QB battle or something? I thought that was Irish Illustrated or someone else who was pushing it.

I think IB staff favored Carr due to upside (like everyone else around here), but their whole thing this week was that they would be fine with Carr or Minchey so long as the process is good.

BD said he was worried they would announce Minchey but not give him the runway to make a few mistakes before turning to Carr; essentially BD / IB's position on the battle seems to be whoever gets the nod needs to be given a chance to develop on the field and not be looking behind their back once the season starts.

Seems reasonable... not sure what meltdown people think is incoming.

The two outlets who drastically overstated the Minchey thing and pissed off ND were II and IB. Is what it is, their problem is trusting a "source" they shouldn't have.

NDMD was just alluding to Driskell's extreme longwindedness/repetition along with tantrums.
