Yes because zero chance of getting into playoffs equals zero chance of doing well in the playoffs.

August 31 looms large for Freeman--a must win because he has otherwise shown thus far there will inevitably be another toe stubbing/egg laying at some point during the year such as 2022 Marshall/Stanford/USC, 2023 Ville/Clemson, and moreorless 2023 Duke. All the talking heads are baking one into their season predictions because of the propensity.

Lose the only difficult game of the year and drop another against such as easy schedule and it's highly unlikely ND makes the playoffs.
I can’t use the term inevitable after just two seasons. Still too small a sample size

Too early to make a definitive statement but the Landow hire is already looking really good. I figured the first 12-18 months would be difficult to show one way or another because the cumulative effects will be greater over time. Statistically you have the unpredictable/chaos factor always muddying the waters so time offers a clearer picture of the results.

I took a nice lunch break and did some light work while blitzing through the 2 Peacock episodes. I didn't think i could root for this team any harder but seeing the player stories and hearing these guys possess humility while playing for our school has me so hyped up for them. I hope this can be a special season, we already have special players all over the roster. My eyes watered a little, it was very well done.

Anyone know what the release cadence will be for the videos?

Eww, That's a horrific release schedule. I thought I was going to binge these when I get the free weekend trial for the Louisville game.

Sorry, claims in the Greater Cincy area got me slammed right now... the good news is that I should finally have time this afternoon after lunch to slack a little bit lol
And you call yourself a Notre Dame fan?

I don’t think Freeman was referencing freshman injuries. It was about the day to day of camp. As Freeman stated: “Concussions, strains & sprains”

Noie has done this several times in the off-season. It’s either his attempt at humour, or he‘s got some sort of bone to pick with Freeman.

Either way, he’s a passive aggressive journalist.

It's no excuse for being an endless dick, but if you're still working at the South Bend Tribune after 30+ years, you're probably pretty miserable from watching eternal decline and making, after inflation, half what you made when they hired you. The last football writer they had with a pulse was probably that guy Mike Vorel for a season or two a few years back. Even Hansen and Tyler James got the hell out of there.

Clever. But since we're now arguing across threads: Pete Sampson doesn't work for the South Bend Tribune, he works for an outlet that hired away all the best journalists from places like the South Bend Tribune (and better, better-paying, papers all over the country) because it paid more and gave them more space/flexibility/creativity.
And even if you think he thinks he's too good for the job or whatever you're on about, he's not an endless dick like Noie. He's generally been the best/smartest writer covering Notre Dame for a long time.

Endless dick is what A Mike seems to like most. 🙂
