The defense sounds like it's not just penciling in starters, it's actually making room for the 2+ deep to be rotated in. If we want the defense at 100% we need Cross healed, Mickey's groin healed and Rubio back in competition.
It's hard to suppress the excitement for what Al Golden's defense might become. Shuler and Heard competing, Leonard Moore already looking like a legit player, (Hobbs received some early praise as well), Kyngston will have a role, Sneed might've taken the big leap we've all been waiting for, Ausberry and Bowen should get some reps and will probably get a chance to earn more time. DL sounds like it's completely loaded and we'll be running waves at opponents.
Special teams coverage should be excellent given all of the athletes they have to choose from and our special teams could be another advantage for this team.
- WRs are going to be a huge improvement over last year's squad
- TEs all sound healthy and our top 3 could all do damage
- QB room is crazy strong and the starter is loved by everyone
- RBs have two bonafide studs ready to make a name for themselves and 2 freshman who'll get a taste of college ball early to see if they can carve out roles.
- OL - the lynchpin of the entire season/post-season. I'm concerned that we lost a 3rd starting tackle since the end of last year. I'm concerned we're so young but we have a lot of talent in that room. Let's hope Rudolph can coach them up and we're all pleasantly surprised as the season goes along. Not expecting greatness out of the gate.
Buckle up ladies and gents, we have 16 days until kickoff. We have a lot of reason to be excited and I'm sure there'll be at least a few members who fill their pants upon reading leaked reports prior to College Station.
