No way Coogan and Spindler both got jumped right?
Don't think it's outside the realm of possibilities. Neither received amazing reviews for their play last year.

Craig basically jumped Carroll and probably should have even sooner using the basis of hindsight.

Just figured Absher would have been more likely from all the reporting by the beat.

If Moore is that good, then it's straight up goofy how good Mickens is at his job.

I’m going to explain this & then be done with it.

First week of fall camp = a couple days no pads or contact, then working into football.
Second week (current week) = Moving players around & having competition, & look for backups at different positions (like Coogan taking snaps at Center to be backup to Craig).
Third week = the week you actually put your starters together & your 2 deep to let them work together for real. This is your real lineups.
Fourth week = not really fall camp anymore. It’s game week & you do normal game week prep.

The people lining up today doesn’t mean they are the starters. How they lineup next week is what really matter. (And we don’t get to see that).
There is a reason today is the last viewing day, because it’s the last day they have people moving all around. They purposely don’t have viewings after today.

If Moore is that good
then Driskell was right about him...and about Morrison
And I really, really hate to compliment him on that

But I guess I could remind him about Jurkovec, Buchner, Allar, Wimbush, everyone else he's ever liked lol

II guys implied that Coogan is not behind Pendleton, just getting some work in at Center so he can take over if Craig can’t go.
They did’t say anything about about Spindler although I don’t subscribe to their pay stuff.
Really crazy if Knapp and Pendleton are going to start together. More likely just some cross training and the real lineup is not being seen by the press.

Yeah but this IS the third week

I worry about the offensive line in week 1, not the rest of the year and definitely not going forward. ND fans worrying about offensive line play is like Iowa fans worrying about punters. History has shown us that it'll be okay.

I understand getting Coogan reps at Center in case Craig should go down, and doing that by putting him with the second team.

What's strange to me is, then you'd think Spindler would step into the first team reps. I get it, they are "testing" things, but man, if Spindler is 3rd or 4th an the depth chart at LG, that would be disappointing considering what we expected out of him.

I'm going to try my best to just be a "yes, dear" fella for the first few weeks at least hahaha
Be prepared to be blamed for running out of diapers, not hearing the baby crying before she does, changing the diaper the wrong way and most importantly, her hemorrhoids.

You left off Leonard Moore.
II Instant Analysis spent a couple mins straight talking about how great he is and the team is comparing him to Morrison already.

Mike Mickens don't miss
Compare his IE profile with fellow Round Rock resident Braylon James. The hype train misses so many recruitments that it’s hard to get too up or down on a class for taking lower ranked players. Anyways, I’m very excited for these young guys to contribute.

The defense sounds like it's not just penciling in starters, it's actually making room for the 2+ deep to be rotated in. If we want the defense at 100% we need Cross healed, Mickey's groin healed and Rubio back in competition.

It's hard to suppress the excitement for what Al Golden's defense might become. Shuler and Heard competing, Leonard Moore already looking like a legit player, (Hobbs received some early praise as well), Kyngston will have a role, Sneed might've taken the big leap we've all been waiting for, Ausberry and Bowen should get some reps and will probably get a chance to earn more time. DL sounds like it's completely loaded and we'll be running waves at opponents.

Special teams coverage should be excellent given all of the athletes they have to choose from and our special teams could be another advantage for this team.
  • WRs are going to be a huge improvement over last year's squad
  • TEs all sound healthy and our top 3 could all do damage
  • QB room is crazy strong and the starter is loved by everyone
  • RBs have two bonafide studs ready to make a name for themselves and 2 freshman who'll get a taste of college ball early to see if they can carve out roles.
  • OL - the lynchpin of the entire season/post-season. I'm concerned that we lost a 3rd starting tackle since the end of last year. I'm concerned we're so young but we have a lot of talent in that room. Let's hope Rudolph can coach them up and we're all pleasantly surprised as the season goes along. Not expecting greatness out of the gate.
Buckle up ladies and gents, we have 16 days until kickoff. We have a lot of reason to be excited and I'm sure there'll be at least a few members who fill their pants upon reading leaked reports prior to College Station.
