Why not Notre Dame? Notre Dame makes sense. You don’t go to a major program and then transfer into Notre Dame. You can go to Notre Dame and transfer into another program. Guys like Keeley, Bowen, Dante, etc. only get one shot at ND. Any single one of them can leave ND and play anywhere else they’d like if they weren’t 100% happy. They likely can never come back to ND.

I think because some of these schools are giving guys like Dante and Keeley a couple hundred thousand reasons to not choose ND.
