Well…I guess we aren’t going for one of the top 250 DE mentioned since Keeley decommitted?
He might be better than the others at ND, but those hoping for a top 3 class this year probably aren’t getting it.

I don't think our NIL game ever gets us a Top 3 class.

Can't mock Michigan's class and at the same time talk about how this kids a huge upside diamond in the rough prospect.

I don’t know why people assume this is Keons replacement. He’s strong side. They were already trying to fill this spot when Keon was committed.

We have these already enrolled. We need Keeleys, not projects. LMFAO this "big surprise" commitment is much more on brand with what we've become accustomed to the past 10+ years.

I'll probably agree if our Keeley-replacement is among these lines, but you have 3 blue-chips already committed in Vernon, Traore and Houstan. If you get another blue-chip, then I see no issue taking a high ceiling project like Mukam.

My comment was both in response to someone saying we needed more guys like this and the fact that there was a lot of buildup to the commitment being significant. Project out of left field is not significant. Not complaining Bout the commitment in a vacuum, maybe this kid is a future draft pick. Who knows.

A lot of buildup? The 4 hours of message board jokes?

No but without jumping to mystery box unknown recruit conclusion, every other possibility known of was pretty damn exciting so pretty hard to not feel a little wow neat but oh if it had been Avery Johnson or better qb or Love or a high upside vyper

Yeah, I can't say the initial announcement didn't disappoint me at first.

But as Dale mentioned, the buildup was for all of a few hours. It wasn't like this has been brewing for days or weeks now.

Oh! It's Dale. Again. Trying to nitpick as per usual.

Does it matter how big the window was? The fact is folks on this board (and beyond) were speculating anything between Keeley's re-commitment to top-100 '24 guys and what we got was an off-the-radar '23 project. It was classic real-life "what I ordered vs. what I got" meme level shit. Not saying he's a bad kid or prospect, but rumors swirling had me thinking more BCR-improver than project is all. I think most would agree they were thinking the same. Unless you had inside info, you probably were too.

If you can't see the humor in that being worth pointing out, I don't know what to tell you. I'll hang up and listen to you move the goal posts now...

There was 4 hours of jokes my dude. Everyone wishes it was one of our top targets, but acting like joking around about Keeley to long snappers, from eastern time to mountain time, Driskell to EJ Holland was buildup is just whining.

Couple reason why I love this.
A. The kid is super smart
B. He’s going to end up in this class regardless he committed without even visiting.
C. He has super long arms and if he’s only 16 he’s gonna grow more more than Likely will end up 6’6
D. I think the 2024 class will end up with a lot of highly rated DL guys Justin Scott so no reason why we can’t take this kid

So who’s a good comp to plug into the 247 calculator for CJ Carr to see where we stand in the rankings? I am assuming the coaches basically saying without saying he’s reclassifying that it’s now imminent.

Him and Jackson Arnold have the same rating. Gets them to 292.72
