The last ND scholarship football player from Wyoming was Steve Dover HB Kemmerer, Wyoming in the '75 ND Frosh recruiting class.

Dover was twice named the Wyoming HS Player of the Year

Dover set the following Wyoming HS State records:

most yards single game: 403 yds
most yards season: 2,124 yds
most yards career: 3,536 yds
most pts season: 185 pts (9 games)

There was a lot of talent at HB when Dover arrived at ND: Jerome Heavens was in his class/ Al Hunter was already there/ Vagas Ferguson arrived in '76 & Jim Stone in '77...plus Terry Eurick, Danny Knott

Dover mostly played on the ND Junior Varsity...albeit Dover did play in 2 games for the '77 ND National Champs = 3 carries 8 yds

3 star receiver out of Michigan. Loy said Tommy may potentially be stopping by his school today. Loy thinks Harvard may be the team to beat.

I wonder how the ND financial aid stacks up vs Harvard. Probably depends on what his parents make. I've read Harvard is free if you're under 100K in household annual income.

Pretty close I think. Probably not free but close to it. Our family was over 100k and financial aid covered everything but probably 8k a year which was probably about half of room and board.

ND’s financial aid is amazing.

Good for the kid, I’m sure he’ll get better playing time early and a very good (if not quite ND level) education at Harvard. With the transfer portal the way it is now, he can always transfer to an FBS school if he wants to go that route later

Talich gives off some young Drue Tranquill vibes. Heck of a PWO get. Comparitive speed of the game will be a big adjustment as is the case for most rookies. Interesting option as an alley safety.

For MF to make a trip out there for a PW tells me they think he can contribute.

Talich's HS Coach
“If he was at a large school in California or Texas, he’d been a no-brainer. Everybody would be after him,” McFadden said. “He’s a low, low 4.5 guy. And he really moves, and he’s even faster on the football field.”

Mac, well, I could be wrong, but I believe it is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.
