McShay, young intern for Mel Kiper Jr, is BACK with an espn.com Insider article featuring an entire round of mock picks, and even a seismic trade up at pick # 1!!!

Mocketh if you will

Headliner:
Colts move up to #1 for.......Bryce Young!

#15 - Green Bay Packers: Michael Mayer, tabbed as the safest pick in the entire class. Possibly.

I saw Schefter tweeted the other day that Chicago should get several sizable offers for number 1. If that is true they can't jump on it fast enough imo.

That's gotta be bad for his draft stock
It'll get settled out of a court. He's still be a top 20 pick. Maybe not top 10 anymore

People owe Todd McSay an apology. He called this Months ago. Used the term "Character issues" and people roasted him.

Well he was considered a lock for the top 4 and likely top 3, so falling to somewhere in the teens would be massive for him.

The issue with people who've been whispering "character concerns" is that, like most years, the term is thrown out there but no examples are given. The most I heard about Jalen Carter and character concerns has been not having the greatest motor on the field. This is a world of difference lol.

Damn....I was hoping he'd be in Chicago. Still might, but not early in the draft anymore. Will Anderson or bust.

I had no idea about the circumstances of the fatal accident that Carter was involved in until today. LeCroy, a young female recruiting staffer, had a BAC of well over twice the legal limit and was driving with Willock, a player, as a passenger. They were racing Carter with both vehicles traveling at over 100 mph and driving recklessly in traffic. LeCroy lost control of her vehicle and crashed into power poles and trees, killing herself and Willock. Carter left the scene, but returned later saying he'd "heard about" the wreck. Multiple security cameras show what happened and that Carter's car was involved in the racing and reckless driving.

"The evidence demonstrated that both vehicles switched between lanes, drove in the center turn lane, drove in opposite lanes of travel, overtook other motorists, and drove at high rates of speed, in an apparent attempt to outdistance each other," the police statement said.

Police investigators have determined that "alcohol impairment, racing, reckless driving, and speed were significant contributing factors to the crash." A toxicology report indicated that LeCroy's blood alcohol concentration was .197 -- more than twice the legal limit in Georgia -- at the time of the crash, according to police.

The 2021 Ford Expedition driven by LeCroy was travelling at about 104 mph shortly before the crash.

It appears off the field, his motor redlines...

I predict this will have a negligible effect on his draft slot.

Not only do talent and ability trump everything else in the nfl, but this isn't a hot-button infraction where a team might suffer in PR for drafting him.* Does he have other issues? Yeah, then it might matter. Randy Gregory was looked at as like a Top-3 pick (similar to Carter), and fell into 2nd round. There are rumors of it with Carter, but if this is really it, then I don't think much will happen.

*I say as Deshaun Cosby is about to enter into year 2 of his fully guaranteed 230 million contract.

Charged with two misdemeanors, will likely see no jail time. At worst Chicago no longer considers him #1 overall, and he will still likely be a top 5 pick.

Ryan Poles should trade out at least twice if not three times and just keep acquiring picks.

This isn't the draft to have the number one pick anyway. 2024 is going to be the Caleb Williams Bonanza.

He should have been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident. What a piece of shit.

Remember pick good friends. If you decide to do something stupid they won’t leave you.

This whole situation is much different now that the true facts are out there. This isn’t tragic this is stupidity.

Guarantee when the tragedy happened he called his agent and was told to leave the scene

Yeah, you take a couple of female recruiting staffers, two or 3 football players, put them in a strip club until 2:30 am with them hammered and driving home. What could go wrong? UGA has already said the vehicle she was driving was for official recruiting purposes, not personal use, but they declined to comment on whether her fraternizing with players and taking them to a club was against school policy.

Which team in the back half of the draft is leaking all of this stuff hoping he falls to them?

I'm not a Bears fan but my Sister, brother-in-law, and close friend are. So, I tend to get invested in the happenings of the organization. I'm fully captivated with these upcoming, potential, moves.

Anthony Richardson blowing up the combine is even better news for what the Bears may want to accomplish.

Dawand Jones measured out at 6’8”, 374 pounds. I don’t know how someone could realistically play that heavy of a weight

Is anyone else slightly concerned that all of our guys have been performing pretty poorly at the combine?
